asheville firefighters performed several water rescues some of those along mark roads- one person trapped in their mobile home was brought out by boat- and two people were rescued from their van after it was swept away by rushing water. 3 just to the southwest of buncombe county-transylvania county saw flooding, power outages, and evacuations.green road was washed out overnight- people in the area say this isn't anything new when it we see these heavy downpours- 3 3 3 "well this is, historically a real low lying area on the french broad river." river.""it comes out maybe six, seven times a year if we have any severe rain, it comes out to some degree." degree.""you know, it's just an ebb and flow of life on green rd." 3 check this out--livestock also a concern this morning- this is caroland farms in landrum- this pasture stis along the

none of the cows or their calvese were swept away- 3 the damage from last nights rain spanned as far south as anderson county...where you can see a downed tree.this is club drive near blair street. the road was blocked for a little while- however, things are back to normal this afternoon- 3 in greenwood county-a high water condition has been issued at lake greenwood at the buzzard roost dam- water was released from the lake into the saluda river.this will affect areas in greenwood and nebwerry counties- the bridge on roof bottom road has been closed as a precaution- it won't reopen until engineers access the structure- officials are stressing that buzzard roost dam is *not in danger of a breach...but that these measures are being taken only as as precaution. 3 as i just mentioned-some people only had a matter of minutes to get out of their home as the water conitnued to rise in asheville- 3 fox carolina's ashley daley is in buncombe countalong fernwood drive where residents of the mobile home park there

ashley- 3 cody the water has now receded...but if you look at the home behind me...the man who lives there says the water was as high as his mailbox. 3 3 3 with the sun now shining on buncombe county clean up efforts are underway. this creek along charlotte highway...just east of biltmore forest...under emergency repair after debris carried by flood water nearly clogged the pipes.residents of the fernwood mobile home park just down the road say it was that clog that caused the water to rise around 1 this morning. morning. 3 3 we've had a lot more rain than this in shorter periods of time and it hadn't backed up like this before. butted to toat one point maybe 4 to 5 feet of water in the mobile home park. kenneth ledford with the reynolds fire department says more than 6 families were were forced to evacuate and one had to be rescued. rescued. 3 it was just a river out here and i didn't see no way out

the fire department is right on top of the hill right there so i just called 911.lamb says the water was so high it moved and potentially totaled both of his vehicles...and also damaged his home. 3 3 today lamb and his family are working to stabilize the home in hopes he wont have to leave. have yet to determine their cause of death.and deputies tell us the they still don't know what sparked the fire.but the home was a total loss. deputies say they're not ruling out anything as thehe continue to investigate. 3 a union woman is behind bars...after police say she stabbed another woman! woman!police say chelsea carroll refused to leave a home on wedgewood court last night...and when the homeowner tried to force her t...carroll stabbed her in the shoulder!carroll is charged with aggravated assault and battery.the victim word on her condition. 3 covering the carolinas today--- - 3 the orangeburg county sheriff's office says the body of a 38-year-old woman missing since christmas has been found...and a man is now locked up-- charged with her murder. murder.harold pratt is accused of killing loretta bunch...and dumping her body in a local waterway.the sheriff's office says she and pratt were involved in some sort of relationship...and argument...leading up to her disappearance.

3 we're learning more about one of the men charged in the death of a pastor's wife -- who has ties to the upstate. officials say one of the suspects...is now charged in another killing. killing.prosecutors say "larry taylor" is accused of robbing and shooting "rolando gonzelez- hernandez" in the head on november 4th. 4th.he's one of three men also charged in the murder of amanda blackburn.she was once involved with the ministry at newspring church in anderson with her husband davey.the two moved to indiana--where they began their own church.amanda was shot and killed inside her home on november 10th.she was pregnant at the time of her death. death.taylor, jalen watson, and diano gordon are all charged in her death.taylor and watson are also charged with two other burglaries on the morning blackburn was killed...and are charged in the burglary and rape of a woman on november 3rd. 3 after being on the run for

"affluenza teen" and his mother are awaiting extradition to the u-s after being picked up in mexico. mexico.ethan couch went missing after a video surfaced on social media...appearing to show him playing beer pong at a party--which is a violation of his probation.he's serving a 10-year probation sentence for killing four people in a 20-13 drunk driving crash. couch's defense attorney argued that he suffered affluenza -- meaning his wealthy upbringing was to blame for his behavior. for more than two weeks...u-s marshals have been on a massive manhunt for couch and his mother...who was believed to be helping him.the two were nabbed nearly a thousand miles from their hometown in texas...near the popular beach resort town of puerto vallarta. 3 still to come...greenville police are on the look out for an armed robber! robber!hear the startling moments as a spinx clerk was held up...investigators are hoping you might recognize his voice.

3 flooding in western north carolina has caused a lot of stress for ppple in the area after several road closures, power outages, evacuations... like here along davidson river road. 3 that area was also evacuated overnight...people living at main street in rosman were evacuated by emergency services-- ...but they were allowed to back in their homes at 7-30 a-m.all the flooding had several roads closed in transylvania county--including cemetery road, green road, and cascade road at merlin lane. officials are urging drivers to not** cross road closure signs and not to drive through

today.that's where we find fox carolina's ashley daley...where residents there had to seek shelter as waters rose quickly, right ashley? 3 first responders say 6 to 8 families were forced to evacuate over night...because the water was nearly 5 feet high.they say one person even had to be rescued by boat. 3 now all of this after a creek that runs along the mobile home park rose around 1 this morning.today many residents were out evaluating the damage and beginning to clean up.one guy says he lost both of his cars in the flood.now bad news for this area...is more rain expected tomorrow...first responders say they dont expect it to cause flooding again...but they say it could be the catalyst for a whole new problem. 3 3 3 one of the problems that were starting to forsee more are trees down and the mudslide potential because the ground

opportunity you're going against another high profile quarterback, against a high profile defense a lot on stake for you as a team. but certainly you've made a big name for yourself here. here. 3 its a great opportunity and the game itself its the second playoff ever and its a great atmosphere at the orange bowl and also obviously its a good opponents. good opponents go out and challenge us and hopefully we can go out there and be successful.a lot of folks hink that you should have been in new york as a heisman finalist, your going up against the guy who was. does that give you a little extra motivation? motivation? 3 yeah, i always find a way to use everything thats happened to me as motivation and so, ill use that as motivation. i mean obviously people didn't think i was good enough to get an invite to new york so im gonna go out there and try to be great for our team and try to help them win.when you look at this clemson defense they seem to have play makers at all three levels whats the most challenging thing that stands out from them on take? 3 3 the fact that the blitz you up

tojust before two this morning--police say a man wearing all black with a camouflage handkerchief over his face...walked in to the spinx on the corner of laurens road at east washington street. they tell us the man showed the cashier a gun and demanded money.police are asking anyone who has information on the robbery or the suspect...to call crime stoppers at 23-crime. 3 police are now calling a fire that broke out at a spartanburg duplex suspicious. suspicious.the fire destroyed the duplex on norris street. investigators say it began in one apartment and then spread to the other.both were deemed a total loss.neither apartment had power or water service. police reports show the building has been condemned by the city of spartanburg.the fire remains under investigation. 3 the rutherford county sheriff's office is asking for your help finding a runaway teen. teen.deputies say 16-year-old alexander militello ran away from his home on sunday and may still be in rutherford county.if you see him or have any information...your asked to call investigators at the number on your screen. 3 now time for weather and traffic together every 10 minutes----
