today to work on verifying the claim. 3 3 covering our counties--a disturbing story out of spartanburg county..a mother is accused of trying to kill her adult daughter, who has special needs. needs.this happened at the heritage court apartments last month.when deputies arrived.. they found the victim holding a drink with a powdery substance in it. it.the woman's mother-- pamela contreras-- told deputies she put crushed pills in the drink... and was planning to kill her daughter.contreras says her daughter has down syndrome.. and she was concerned that the young woman would be left with no one to take care of her.contreras is in the spartanburg county jail this morning.there is no word on the daughter's condition. 3 in anderson county-- investigators say they're still looking for a second suspect who led police on a chase. chase.police say it started monday morning on george alber lake road.officers say they tried to pull over a suspicious vehicle.. but it didn't stop.police chased the car until it crashed at the meadow run apartments.we're told shaqwon greer was arrested.but a second person ran away.police have not

3 3 this morning.. a group of activists in north charleston are protesting the release of former officer michael slager. slager. 3 "we want him back in jail. we demand him being back in jail." jail."about two dozen people gathered outside the charleston county jail on tuesday.. one day after slager was let out on bond.the protesters claim slager is a danger to the community.. and could be a flight risk.they are also demanding that slager be tried in federal court. 3 monday night, a judge set slager's bond at 500-thousand dollars.. and ordered him to be on house arrest.now.. we've learned slager will be allowed to leave his home to attend church, go to the doctor, or meet his attorneys.slager is staying at an undisclosed location in the state.. until his trial october 31st. 31st.slager is charged with murder in the death of walter scott.he was shot during a traffic stop last april. 3 leaders in the republican party have chosen governor nikki haley to represent them in the national spotlight spotlighttuesday, house speaker paul ryan and senator

women who claim cosby sexually assaulted them.mrs. cosby is now fighting a court order to testify in the case.on tuesday, a judge decided to delay that deposition until her appeal can be heard. 3 3 a prosecutor in georgia says a man suspected of holding 12 people hostage was supposed to be in prison. prison.investigators in dekalb county have charged korrie thomas with false imprisonment and other charges. charges.early tuesday morning.. police say he held a woman and 11 children hostage in a motel.after a five hour standoff... investigators entered the room.the hostages were safe, but thomas had critically injured himself with a knife.law enforcement now says thomas was supposed to report to prison back in november.. to serve a nine year sentence for armed robbery and assault. 3 the federal government says people in south carolina have gotten 219 million dollars in flood relief money. money.tuesday, fema announced it had given 79 million in grants for homeowners who had property damage.they also gave more than 17 million to state and local governments.and the

administration says it has approved more than 122 million in low interest loans for business owners. 3 3 prices are going up for several u-s airlines. economists say roundtrip fares on domestic flights are up by six dollars. dollars.delta airlines made the price increase on monday.. and that was followed by several others, includiing southwest, united, and jet blue.this is the first large scale price hike since june. experts say the increase could be rolled back, but it's not likely. 3 g-s-p is getting 3 ready for some extra travelers this week as many clemson fans head to the national championship game in arizona-- arizona--and the airport wants to make sure you have a hassle-free send-off. off.g-s-p is increasing the number of chartered flights departing from january 9-th to the 11-th.they are also reminding travelers to use the 3-2-1 flying rule.which means arrive to the airport three hours early---be in-line at security 2-hours prior to departure.and arrive at your gate 1-hour prior to boarding.

murphy was arrested on the a-b tech campus tuesday morning. they say he was found without his pants on.according to reports -- this is not the first time murphy has faced these kind of charges.school officials sent us articles that say murphy did the same thing in 20-13 at the children's activity center monkey joe's in raleigh. 3 a greenville county thief is on the run this morning after he was caught on camera smashing into a gas station. station.this is video released by simpsonville police of the spinx station on west georgia road late last month.reports show the thief stole more than three-hundred-dollars worth of cigarettes.police say his white basketball shoes are very distinctive.if you recognize the suspect--call the simpsonville police department immediately. 3 3 the road to the national championship continues for the clemson tigers. they are now **five days away from playing alabama for the national title. title.clemson is just one win away from being the only team in f-b-s college football history to ever finish a season 15 and oh.on monday

3 the f-b-i says they're working with a group of armed protesters in oregon to try and bring their demonstrations to a peaceful end. end.the armed group took over a federal wildlife building this past weekend.since then - demonstrators maintain they're willing to fight government workers over control of public land.one of the protesters believes he and four others have warrants out for their arrests.group leaders maintain they're not putting anyone in danger and just want the right thing done. 3 federal agents in san bernardino, california are asking for the public's help this morning. morning.they're working to put together a timeline of the two gunmen's movements -- who shot and killed 14 people last month.an f-b-i agent says there's about a 20 minute gap they need to fill on the afternoon of december second. they say it's the time between the deadly attacks and the shootout that killed syed farook and tashfeen malik. 3 a friend of san bernardino shooter "sayed farook" is expected in a california courtroom this morning.
