it happened around 8 o 'clock at the in the 3 - thousand block of forest when police they arrived -- the alleged shooters fled from the scene in a car. police chased the car into an alley a couple blocks near by. police were able to arrest several of the people in the car but the others are still at large police are not releasing an exact number at this time. the victim is at area hospital. police say he is suffering from non - life threatening injuries turning to weather... the sunshine we had today will be sticking around....but rain and snow could be making their way into the 7 day... meteorologist amber alexander joins us now with a first look at the forecast well remain dry and mostly sunny to start the first week of the new year. temperatures will fall slightly for sunday and monday, only reaching the upper 20s. by tuesday temperatures will rise back into the lower 30s which will help melt some more of the snow. the next chance for precipitation comes on thursday, where we could even see a chance for rain mixed in with snow, however the

a snow mobile accident has claimed the life of a marshall county man. last night -- 25 year old travis van de walle was driving the machine when it flipped over on to him. van de walle was riding the snow mobile in a field north east of the town of le grand. a family member set out to find the man -- after he didn't return home at the time he said he would. authorities believe the man was riding up a snow drift -- when the snow mobile overturned a nevada man is lucky to be alive after his plane crashed after landing on a runway

michael bates says as he landed his cessna 172 --- a plan similar to the one on your screen. he lost control, ran off the runway and hit snowbank. that caused the plane to flip over onto it's top. bates was trapped inside for short time but managed to make it out without any injuries starting next week, becoming a registered voter in iowa will be easier than ever before. the state is launching an online voter system. while the system is meant to help iowans -- some organizations say it will hurt them instead. reid chandler explains . signing up to vote in iowa will soon just be a few clicks away... the iowa secretary of state's office has been working on an online voter registration system for the past year... starting next week, anyone with a state driver's license or i-d card can use that system for the first time. 2:35:00 "we applaud the secretary of state's office for pursuing online voter registration." - veronica fowler - aclu of iowa groups like the american civil liberties union of iowa like the idea,
