the iowa department of criminal investigation continues to work the case....shirley carter's husband bill was at today's rally for justice but did not wish to speak with the media today. people claiming to be involved with the iowa caucuses are scamming iowans into handing over their personal information. the johnston police department is investigating about half a dozen reports of a political phone scam. the caller asks residents if they are planning to caucus on a date other than february first. however, february first is the actual caucus date. the scammer is also asking residents for their address, social security number and for them to fill out caucus related paper work. police say if something doesn't
