understandably hard for her family. for weeks ames police pleaded for someone to come forward... then yesterday -- after weeks of dead end tips -- investigators finally cracked the case. as they were reviewing campus bus tapes... they found one that was dark, and blurry. it didn't look suspicious... but once they turned the audio up, they knew they'd found something... you can hear the bus striking emmalee and that's really what tipped the case for us 55 23-year old benjamin clague was the driver in that video... police arrested him yesterday. he is now charged with leaving the scene of a deadly accident and failure to yield. police say they're sure clague knew he had hit someone or something...
because he admitted it to a friend. he was also seen getting out of the bus shortly after the accident to check for damage. clague posted bond and was released yesterday. he'll make his first court appearance next wednesday. a person riding a bus was hurt during a high speed chase through urbandale... police were chasing a car through town yesterday evening... when it clipped a dart bus and spun out into a yard. it happened near parkview and meredith. police say one person on the bus was treated for a minor injury.. they haven't said what led to the chase.. or what charges the driver will face. authorities in eastern iowa have issued an operation quickfind this morning... 15-year-old danielle tiegen was last seen tuesday at linn-mar high school in marion. she was wearing a black and green sweatshirt, blue jeans and black boots. anyone with information is asked to call linn county sheriffs. oil pipeline opponents are gathering to make their voices heard this morning... the iowa utilities board hasn't
