right now, clinton is holding a "get out the caucus" event at the family fun center in adel. she was scheduled to speak at 10:45, but got started a little late. clinton's rivals are also in the state making campaign stops. martin o'malley is in grinnell tonight at 5 p-m... and bernie sanders stops in mason city at 7 p-m.... as for republicans, mike huckabee talked to iowans in des moines this morning. he spoke to the iowa pork producers association "pork congress forum" at hy-vee hall. he talked about food processing, campaign endorsements, and other republican candidates. he told the crowd that where big money goes...big influence goes... one topic he wouldn't discuss is trump...he only would say the presidential candidate is self funded... 23:49:01:29-23:49:20:16 "this country is not going to change...until the people have had enough and they start divorcing themselves of supporting

ad lib wx quick we've enjoyed some sunshine this morning and temperatures have warmed quickly to the upper 30s. winds are brisk from the south-southwest. some increased upper level clouds will roll through with a few flurries and sprinkles in parts of northern iowa. winds will shift from the northwest tonight and temperatures will drop back to the low 30s this evening. a fire severely damaged a popular restaurant in downtown jefferson this morning. police say they were sent to the pizza ranch in the 2-hundred

north wilson street around midnight. crews were on the scene putting out hot spots until about four this morning. the inside of the downtown business was gutted from the fire. and, three other nearby businesses have heavy smoke damage. the jefferson fire chief says the fire doesn't look suspicious, but the state fire marshal's office is looking into it to help determine a cause. police need your help finding a man who escaped a work facility in sioux city. they are looking for 26 year old jacob michael petty. he is in the facility for robbery. they say he is an african american male who has black hair and brown hair. if you think you know where he is, call police. the merger agreement between des moines based meredith corporation and media general won't go through. meredith announced today the two companies agreed to terminate the binding merger agreement. that means meredith gets 60 million dollars from media general. the original merger deal was announced in september. it would have created the third largest owner of local t-v

i'm bernie sanders, and i approve this message. but there's a shortage of foster homes throughout the state of iowa. as of november, more than 8- hundred children in iowa were eligible for adoption. and as chris minor reports... there's a growing need for loving families. this is emily and we adopted her when she was four years old linda loerzel's home in clinton is filled with photographs of kids.. all told, how many daughters..five, two boys..ok some biological, some adopted after being fostered by linda and her husband. we have been foster parents to well over 120 children, and we've adopted two children but there is a real need right now for foster homes in the state, for babies, toddlers and teens. i know in clinton county, we have about 33 homes most of the homes are full at max with foster kids jessica leal is raising a daughter and an adopted son. she's fostered 28 children in four years. we have a shortage out there alot of

this afternoon will be windy and warmer with highs in the upper 30s. there are those who say we cannot defeat a corrupt political system and fix a rigged economy. but i believe we need to lift our vision above the obstacles in place and look to the american horizon. to a nation where every child can not only dream of going to college, but attend one. where quality healthcare will be a birthright of every citizen. where a good job is not a wish, but a reality. where women receive equal pay and a living wage is paid to all. an america where after a lifetime of labor, there is time for rest and grandchildren. a nation that defends our people and our values, but no longer carries so much of that burden alone. i know we can create that america if we listen to our hearts.

it actually affected us in the summer because we do outdoor patio service for dinner and drinks, and people would sit on patio and hear this song played over and over and over again and they'd get annoyed and they'd leave. it actually was mentioned in one of our yelp reviews the song emanates from two offending speakers on a ledge near these second story windows , too high for anyone to reach...several feet above a faded sing on the building which reads the house of the lord nats we got to wondering what could be worse kevin robertson/the chef at wine on third "it would be worse if it was a patriot song that would definitely be worse" but on this day mysteriously as it started all those many months ago there was no music coming out of the building. apparently this is the day the music died, oh well..on iowa. that was dave mckinley reporting. stick around, the agribusiness

canada has a strong hog trade with the u-s.. specifically between the province of manitoba and midwestern states like iowa.. when the repeal of cool happened.. canada praised it.. but here in the u-s.. some still want to know where their food comes from. but labeling meat isn't a simple matter.. you have to track where the hog was born.. raised.. slaughtered.. and where the cuts all go. "a piglet weighting 15-20 pounds comes south to iowa, where it's fed and raised to 250 pounds then goes to market. the value added to that 15-20 pound piglet all occurs in iowa." rempel farms the southeast side of manitoba.. she says when businesses had to deal with all the paperwork.. they'd rather just use u-s piglets.. before cool.. there were a lot of farrowing barns in manitoba.. because its low winter climates kill off disease.. the piglets there were contracted to ship to the
