news, des moines despite the clinton controversy... the new york times endorsed clinton for the democratic presidential nomination... due to her experience and policy ideas. the time's editoral board also endorsed ohio governor and republican john kasich. it says he is the only reasonable choice for republicans who are quote "tired of extremism and inexperience in the race" ahead of the iowa caucuses... marco rubio's camapaign is airing a television special this weekend. it's aimed at iowans who have been unable to attend his town hall meetings. caucus-goers can call in with their questions during the 30-minute show. or they can tweet the candidate using the hash-tag "heymarco." it will air tomorrow at 11 -am whether you have lived in iowa all your life or are new to the state... the caucus voting process is a different one voters cannot vote throughout the day... and they must attend public meetings to do so.. johnathan mann has more... first, caucus goers gather in a

each candidate has a representative who speaks on their behalf, trying to sway undecided voters. ours don't have mouths, but you get the point. looks like the speeches are done. now the voters are headed for their candidates' corners. george washington has the most support with seven people. but the caucus isn't over yet. here comes the community discussion and persuasion. jefferson's supporters are headed for the washington corner with cupcakes and every reason they can imagine for their rival's supporters to join with 'them.' and they've succeeded in convincing one washington supporter to move over to the jefferson camp! the lincoln supporters don't have eyes but they see an opportunity. there's a representative headed for the jefferson camp. and he's armed with evidence of lincoln's achievements. but no, the washington supporter who defected is going back to the first president's

water samples from more than two dozen homes in flint revealed lead levels are well above what can be treated by the water filters being given to residents. the issue began last year after the city changed it drinking water source. water from the flint river caused lead from aging pipes to seep into the water supply.... drinking the contaminated water is serious health concern... and iowans are helping to donate clean water. members from the revival center church of god in christ handed out flyers at the "i'll make me a world" event at hy - vee hall today. next saturday they are hosting a
