kathy: a warning for pet owners, and the proof is in the pictures, a coyote on the prowl in a milwaukee neighborhood with another animal in its mouth. joyce: one neighbor snapping photos before the coyote disappeared. 12 news' ben hutchison is live in bay view, and you just spoke to the woman who took the pictures. >> i did. there are two parks within a few blocks where coyotes have been spotted, and sometimes they walk through the neighborhood here looking for food. megan husband says she saw a facebook post on the bay view neighborhood watch page about a decapitated rabbit found in a instead of a prank, she believes the culprit may be in these pictures she snapped from her window tuesday night around 10:00 p.m. >> there was the coyote standing there over a dead rabbit. >> husband says the animal look healthy. >> it kept stepping into the rode, then step back onto the sidewalk.

dead drivers eventually slowing , down and scaring the coyote into a nearby alley. husband doesn't believe it's a bad thing having the animal around, but wants people to co-exist with them and keep their small dogs safe. >> i think we need to make sure that we are living side-by-side, not purposely feeding wild animals, keeping your animals on a leash. >> i talked to a couple of people out here tonight. they told me seeing a coyote is a possibility, but that's why they keep their pets close. in bay view, ben hutchison, wisn a warning for shoppers ahead of the holiday season, be aware of your surroundings. an elderly woman had her wallet stolen at nordstrom in mayfair mall. mall. here's a surveillance picture of the two suspected thieves who were working together. police say one suspect slowed the victim getting off an escalator, while a man from behind reached into her purse and took her wallet. they also stole a woman's wallet from a piggly wiggly the same day. if you recognize the suspects

the u.s. senate race gets tighter in wisconsin. patrick, it's virtually tied. patrick: that's what the latest marquette law school poll shows. it came out today. feingold has 45%, johnson has 44%. in early october, feingold had a two-point lead over johnson. today's results are within the poll's margin of error. kathy: what about the presidential race? patrick: in the presidential race, democratic nominee hilla over republican nominee donald trump, 46% to 40% among likely voters in wisconsin. that's 1% tighter than the last poll in early october. this is the final marquette law school poll before the election on tuesday. kathy: we have the final pitch going on both campaigns are , targeting wisconsin pretty hard. bernie sanders held a rally for hillary clinton at turner hall in milwaukee tonight, trying to turnut the vote. >> they are in bold and by the

vote. we are emboldened because we believe that people must and will vote. that is the difference between us and them. kathy: donald trump and hillary clinton's running mate tim kaine held rallies in wisconsin last night. 12 news was there for both. and there are more visits on tap. tomorrow, eric trump will be in eau claire, and chelsea clinton will be in milwaukee. and on friday, vice president joe biden will hold a rally in madison. joyce: we are teaming up with abc news to brin watch live coverage from throughout wisconsin and around the country all night on air and online starting at 4:00 p.m. a red kettle imposter is spotted again. he got away, but this time he left the stolen kettle behind with money inside. he was seen outside pick n save on silver spring road today, in the same parking lot as the walmart where he was yesterday. police say he got away in a vehicle registered in racine county. the salvation army's red kettle campaign starts friday. the charity says its trusty

that says salvation army on it. two police officers are killed in ambush attacks in iowa by the same suspect. 24-year-old urbandale police officer justin martin was shot and killed as he sat in his police car just after 1:00 this morning. 20 minutes later, des moines police officer tony beminio was also shot in his car. 46-year-old scott michael greene turned himself in. authorities say he has a history of confrontations with police. kathy: ambushed milwaukee police officer brandon baranowski while he was sitting in his squad car. he survived. and tonight, sheldon dutes shows us how the department is honoring baranowski and the officers who helped him. >> it was a scary night. sheldon: officer james johnson was there the night a gunman shot officer brandon baranowski in the arm and chest. baranowski was responding to a domestic abuse call near 17th and morgan. >> i came after he got shot. i heard him call out for help,

aid and get him out of the area safely. >> just seeing my partner in the shape that he was in was pretty concerning. ? sheldon: tonight, the department awarded the officers with the medal of valor rescue award. five other officers, a sergeant, and an emergency dispatcher also got a standing ovation for helping baranowski that night. >> i'm humbled by this because everyday i do my job, i just consider what i did that night as another one of my duties. sheldon: baranowski did not attend tonight's ceremony. chief flynn presented him with his purple star award while he was still in the hospital. when he left the hospital july 20, baranowski talked about coming back to work. >> i have a long road to recovery ahead of me, but look forward to rejoining my police family to serve and protect the citizens of milwaukee. sheldon: a spokesman for the police department tells me

kathy: the man accused of shooting officer baranowski, tomas uriegas, was found dead shortly after the shooting, apparently self-inflicted. uriegas was a convicted felon out on bail for a felony battery charge. joyce, you have the story of a family's search for a cure for a very sick child. joyce: i do, and hope seemed distant. >> i know it is hard. joyce: but a twist of fate br the surprise donor who could save her life. kathy: a milwaukee teenager hit and killed by a school bus. how friends and family are remembering her tonight. mark: plus, it may not be pretty now, but that will change soon. when to expect sunshine and 60's, next in weather watch 12. joyce: and uber rolls out a new feature for a unique situation. how they'll get you to your friends even if you don't know
