probably not paying attention, the very least have come to expect this kind of thing from trump and overlook it. >> so martha, mitt romney visited with donald trump yesterday. when we first heard this was going to happen, there was speculation this was just about a photo-op. is he serious about mitt romney? >> so far it is a photo-op but also a step for trump who holds grudges after mitt romney has said nasty things about calling him a phony and a fraud and supposed to show trump is moving outside his inner circle with an openness to new people and new ideas. we'll have to see. >> so there's a concern about lack of diversity so far in the hiring we saw he brought in michelle rhee and nikki haley. is there really any likelihood of a pick who is not a white male at this point? >> i'll point those questions to

there's lots of big names including general james maddisas defense secretary and not all of them are men, white men like as you said former chancellor of d.c. public schools michelle rhee who was also there yesterday. they have all been white men. so the pressure is on. >> we hear that donald trump is going to be meeting with rudy giuliani and chris christie, two loyalists today who may have is there still room for them in the cabinet? >> you know, dan, and paula, we know loyalty is important to trump and those two have been at his side for nearly all of the ups and downs of the campaign. we'll see. giuliani is still a contender for a couple positions including secretary of state. but christie is in a tougher spot and demoted on that transition team. he may really have a much tougher time with this. >> martha raddatz, thank you

kansas. her mother murdered. police have found the baby hundreds of miles and two states away and abc is on the story from our bureau in los angeles. >> reporter: so many questions here. this young mother is killed just one week after giving birth to a little girl. who could have committed such a heinous act and why? this morning baby sophia reunited with family as investigators from two states killed her mother. and why. newborn sophia gonzales found alive two days after she was abducted. sophia's father finds his little girl missing and her mother shot to death. friday morning still no suspects. the fbi now joining the investigation.

with a tragic story from chicago. >> breaking news from chicago. a 17-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy being questioned in connection with the murder of the grandson of chicago congressman. the police say the boy shot 15-year-old jovan wilson friday night. his grandfather is congressman danny davis. he said he grieves for his family and the family of the shooter. police expect murder charges to be filed against the soon. and police in texas arresting eight people at a white supremacist demonstration outside the state capitol in austin. about two dozen of the supremacist protesting hate crime laws they say favor minorities clashed with the several hundred counter demonstrators. new details about the deadly plane crash in nevada. the medical flight had mechanical problems friday

onboard. a pilot, two medical staff members and a patient. no one was hurt in the fire when that plane crashed. a firefighter died helping rescue dozens of people when a ferry collapsed in georgia. more than 50 people were on the structure saturday afternoon. officials say the firefighter suffered some sort of medical condition. he died a short time later at the hospital. several people on that ramp also suffered minor injuries. and a college football game between t mexico state was delayed when three charter buses carrying the texas state team crashed on the way to the game. six people suffered minor injuries in the multi-vehicle accident. that was near el paso, texas. the game did go on. more than an hour late. mexico state won 50-10. speaking of football, age is allegedly just a number. joe thomas jr. made history as
