senator from 19-93 until 20-11.... but lost to johnson in the 20-10 election. meanwhile -- johnson did not have a challenger in his primary last night. he did hold a rally though -- telling supporters to focus on beating feingold in november. 59:55 i feel pretty good about the race and i'm just going to work my tail off to make sure we save this senate seat and bring the 10 electoral votes to the republican nominee for president. senator johnson asked supporters to continue making calls, knocking on get out to the polls in november. and in the state senate race...lena taylor will get four more years in office. after a heated primary, the incumbent knocks off challenger state representative mandela barnes. this was the first time in her 12 year career taylor has faced a primary opponent. there is no republican challenger in november, meaning the state senator is all but ensured of keeping her seat. we've posted all of the final results from the races on our

one of the two suspects accused in the shooting of a milwaukee police officer in july has an arraignment and plea hearing in federal court. prosecutors say the gun used in the shooting...traced back to him. deandra corinthios is live from the federal courthouse with the latest 22 year old alonso sandoval will be in federal court at 2 this afternoon. prosecutors say his cousin...the other suspect in this case...bought the gun say...sandoval ended up selling it to someone else...eventually making it's way to the shooter. milwaukee police officer brandon baranowski survived two shots to his arm, two that lodged in his bullet proof vest and another that grazed his forehead. it all happened when 20 year old tomas uriegas ambushed baranowski ...as he responded to a domestic violence call in july on milwaukee's south side. uriegas shot and killed himself. the 22 caliber ruger used: traced to two men: emanuel romo and alonso sandoval. an indictment says it was two years ago that romo

indictment accuses romo of lying, buying the gun for his cousin , sandoval who couldn't legally buy it because he had a drug history. the indictment says sandoval sold and resold the gun and somehow it ended up in the hands of uriegas.... and was used to shoot baranowski. romo pleaded not guilty. sandoval has been federally charged with aiding and abbetting romo's false statements...and felon in possession of a firearm. a balloon release will be taking place later today...in honor of a man killed in a double homicide yesterday morning. this as milwaukee police continue to search for the person responsible. angelica joins us now with the latest. police say the two men were killed early yesterday morning near 36th and congress. we're told bennie bennett and 44- year-old billie hill were killed -- one shot...the other stabbed. last night - family members gathered on the street where 25-year-old bennett grew up to honor his

chaos unfolding in ferguson, missouri during a protest -- marking two years since michael brown was shot and killed by a police officer. a car sped through a group of protesters who were attending last night's demonstration. one person was hit and then rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. gun shots were also heard after the incident...but so far authorities say ther meanwhile -- the justice department is set to release a report today on the baltimore police department. it reportedly says baltimore officers routinely discriminate against african americans, use exccessive force, and are not adequately held accountable for misconduct. it also found that officers make large numbers of stops - mostly in poor, black neighborhoods.... and unlawfully arrest citizens for speech deemed disrespectful.

investigations is killed in the line of duty. it happened during an undercover drug investigation gone bad. 35-year-old de'greaun frazier was working with other agents and narcotics officers when he met a person for a controlled buy in a car.the suspect produced a gun in an attempt to rob frazier...and fired -- hitting frazier once. the special agent later died at the hospital. the suspect is in custody....and charges are pending. frazier had only been working with the department since february. and in florida -- a woman shot by a police officer during a self defense class last night. it happened in punta gorda -- which is south of tampa. the police department was offering a two-hour training session called the "citizen police academy." the deceased woman - who was 73-years- old - was involved in a role-playing scenario in which participants make decisions about whether to use lethal force. the florida department of law enforcement is now investigating the incident. the officer involved hs been placed on administrative leave.

planning to sue the nfl and the hall. a california attorney says about 20 people have approached him about a class-action lawsuit. this is the same lawyer who represented ticket holders for the 2011 super bowl who wound up without seats in dallas. the hall of fame says fans will be refunded their money for the ticket.. but some people apparently want travel expenses too. the clients are from a variety of states, including wisconsin and indiana, who came to see the packers play the colts. the game was canceled after paint congealed and hardened on portions of the field att paint congealed and hardened on portions of the field at tom benson hall of fame stadium. a federal judge has ordered talk show host glenn beck to name two confidential sources he used in his boston marathon bombing reports. he's being sued for defamation for comments he made about a man who he said helped finance and orchestrate the attack. the man, who was injured in the attack, was initially named a "person of interest,"... ...but when officials cleared his name, beck continued to report that
