many of the businesses damaged over the weekend are being torn down. including the b-p gas station. fox 6's ashley sears sat down with the owner-- only on fox 6. nats demolition is underway-- at the corner of sherman and burleigh-- pakhar singh looks on--at what's left of his b-p gas station. i'm still sad. you know? nearly one week after chaos-- singh opens up about nearly losing everything. been there 10 years. the whole neighborhood is just like my own family. we really love each other. i know all the neighborhood, block by block, each side. they are all sad. the gas station was targeted by angry looters-- and set on fire. three

developments coming out of sherman park since the unrest broke out last weekend -- from the investigation to a neighborhood in healing. click the link atop the home page of fox6 now dot com or the fox6 news app -- to view all of our coverage. the girls charged in the slenderman stabbing case were in court today. morgan geyser and anissa weier are accused of trying to kill a classmate more than two years ago when they were twelve. they told police they did it to please the fictional character slenderman. lawyers for both girls are concerned that publicity will keep them from girls are likely to be tried separately, their trials could be set in march or april. tonight, the state department of justice is investigating a deadly officer involved shooting in new london. police say two officers were on patrol, when they spotted a 31 year old white man, who had a warrant for his arrest. investigators say the suspect pulled a weapon, and then was shot and killed by the officers. police have not identified the man, or revealed

that left one man dead last month in jackson has been deemed justified..... and the officer will not face any criminal charges. fox6's rachelle baillon has more details. a woman tries to hold off her knife wielding boyfriend as he threatens to kill her on july first. the woman had managed to call police from an office in the home, before the man burst into the room. says police found the man, 58-year-old helmut wihowski, holding a knife to the woman's upper chest while cornering her in a shower stall. dash cam audio captured what

told authorities she would have died if the officer had not shot wihowski. authorities attempted life-saving measures on wihowski, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. if you'd like to learn more about this case, we've made it easy to access the case files. just check out fox six now dot com for more information. reporting in the newsroom tonight, rachelle baillon fox6 news. brad thanks rach a teen who shot out the windows of dozens of cars a parking lot will spend seven years in prison. paris chambers was sentenced after he plead guilty to 5 charges for car theft, damage to property, and bail jumping. prosecutors say chambers and another teen used a b-b gun to shoot out the windows of 58 cars, stealing items inside. they were eventually arrested after being spotted inside a pickup that had been stolen from the airport. reveal straight to weather

interchange construction project is now underway. eastbound i-94 is now closed at highway 100. it shut down a few minutes ago - and will remain closed for the next 31 hours! construction crews are working on the substructure for a new ramp. crews hope to reopen the highway

get a first hand look at the historic flooding in louisiana. the white house announced today that the president will travel to baton rouge tuesday, to get a look at the damage, and hear more about how the federal government can assist in the relief effort. at least 13 people have died in the catastrophic flooding and nearly 4 thousand people remain in shelters. republican presidential candidate donald trump toured some of the flood damage earlier today.

louisiana are also getting some help from wisconsin. almost 40 red cross volunteers from the state have been deployed to help give aid to the flood-ravaged areas. the red cross says wisconsin has a lot of people who are eager to lend a hand. bob mayer/disaster program specialist/ red cross "it's kind of mixed emotions you're down there you're happy, you are able to help people but when you see the devastation that the floods cause, i mean this is just something no one can really prepare for." the red cross says they can always use more volunteers... and people can also adlib to weather weather mostly cloudy tonight with a few t-storms possible. temperatures will drop into the low 70s lakeside but a bit cooler inland. another mostly cloudy day ahead for saturday with showers and thunderstorms likely, although

2 games down, 2 more to go before they begin to count for the packers. last night in a 20-12 win against the raiders, the packers decided they were going to make a statement on their opening drive. that statement was this is a team that will run the ball right over you and they did just that as eddie lacy had 9 carries on the drive for 45 yards and the touchdown putting the packers up for good. "it's a statement touchdown, you know to have as good of a drive as we had. it doesn't get no better than that. started the

the milwaukee city conference got to work this afternoon as bradley tech open up their season, in some soggy conditions. second play from scrimmage, south division cedric hayes drops back and finds raheem payt pate for 71 yards down to the 2 yard line.but the rain might have played a role on the next play as the ball is snapped high, and it keeps bouncing around until tech's tenaj robinson- bowens scoops it up returning it 75 yards for the score and a 6-0 lead. the last score we have is

point. weather suspended them at the half, with west allis central up 9 to 7, they will resume tomorrow. because it's the kick off to the season and the high school blitz, we have a bonus game of the week a thriller between brookfield central and whitefish bay. zach hechman gives central a 14-7 lead in the 2nd quarter when he scores from 4 yards out. the blue dukes respond in a big way as cade garcia hit kirkendoll and he takes it the rest of the way, 80 yards in all to tie it up at 14. this one would go back and forth and eventually to overtime where the lancers jimmy rodgers tips the ball and some how makes the great catch in the end zone to make it 50-43. whitefish bay's chance to keep the game going ends when nick luh-zin-ski leszczynski intercepts the ball
