at this hour milwaukee police say an argument between two people that knew each other lead to the stabbing. a 32 year old milwaukee man died on the scene despite life saving efforts by the milwaukee police and fire fighters. it was around 12-40 this morning when the call came in. shortly there after police arrived and barricaded the area with yellow and red police tape. several police and investigators were out here this morning to investigate. milwaukee police are currently looking for him. that's the very latest from milwaukee's east side -- julie collins. fox 6 news. new information on two serious crashes in milwaukee from over the weekend. police say the driver of a stolen car is to blame for this accident near 76th and mill. it happened a little after 7:30 yesterday morning. police say the driver of a stolen ford focus was speeding-- and ran a red light. the driver of the
arrested. two of his teenage passengers were seriously hurt. and on friday night-- two teenagers died in a crash near 35th and keefe. police say the 17-year-old driver crashed into a tree. two of his passengers-- latrey robinson hale and demetrius batchelor junior died at the scene. the driver and another passenger were taken to the hospital-- but are expected to survive. a scary situation on milwaukee's south side yesterday. police say a 38-year-old man barricaded himself inside his home- with hours.. officers say he got into an argument with his neighbor and started firing shots. when the neighbor called police-- the suspect barricaded himself inside. after hours of negotiations-- police went inside to arrest him. the child was found safe in a bedroom. police say charges are pending against the man. a mass will be held today in jackson, mississippi for two nuns killed last week. this as an arrest is made in the case. angelica joins us now with more.
man was arrested in connection with the deaths of sisters margaret held and paula merrill. held also worked for a time with the school sisters of saint francis in milwaukee. police say rodney sanders confessed to the killings during questioning. he now faces two counts of capital murder. sanders was out of prison on probation after being convicted of a d-u-i last year. he was also convicted of armed robbery back in the 1980s. held and merrill were both nurse practitioners who worked for a clinic in one of the state's poores jackson today for the two sisters. happening today - the west allis man accused of going on a multi-county... fatal crime spree... is expected in sauk county court. police say zachary hays killed his neighbor back in may. later that day... he's accused of killing an illinois woman on the interstate in a drive-by shooting in sauk county. he was arrested after a shootout with police near madison. hays has already
another court hearing on that case next month. also in court today... one of the men prosecutors say was "inspired" by the sherman park unrest. police say 19-year-old dale folley lit a car on fire in a pick n save parking lot near 18th and national. his preliminary hearing is scheduled for this afternoon. community members... and state officials... will be discussing the effectiveness of hate crime laws in wisconsin today. the wisconsin advisory committee to the u-s commission on civil rights is 4:30 this afternoon at the hampton inn conference center in west allis. the committee will look at the formation and activity of hate groups... and listen to testimoney from community members... advocates... academics and legal professionals. an open forum session will start at 4. you decide coverage now. libertarian presidential candidate gary johnson will make his first campaign stop in wisconsin this week. in the last marquette university law school poll johnson got 9 percent support from likely voters. he'll be at serb hall

airport in california causing panic overnight. officials say reports of gun shots turned out to be just loud noises. there was a partial evacuation of at least one terminal...and a massive search throughout the airport but no gunman was found. during this time - no flights were being allowed to land at the airport. two brothers have been charged with the shooting death of n-b-a star dwyane wade's cousin in chicago. police say nykea aldridge was pushing her baby in a stroller friday when she was shot and killed. she was not the intended target. derren sorrells and his brother darin charges in connection with her death. one man was on parole after serving time in prison on a gun charge. his brother is a known gang member. chicago police superintendent eddie johnson says they're an example of the city's problem with repeat offenders. johnson says: "this reprehensible act of violence is the example of why we need to change the way we treat habitual offenders in the city of chicago. when will enough be enough?"

crews continue to search for two men who are missing after a plane crash in new orleans. divers found the plane wreckage in lake pontchartrain .the plane was headed for an airport runway nearby. a woman was rescued by a good samaritan. of crash occurred during training exercises. more information is expected to be released today...when the plane is pulled out of the lake. police are investigating a stabbing incident that left one college student dead and another injured. ithaca college is offering support to students following the death of 19- year-old anthony nazaire of brooklyn. the ithaca sophomore was stabbed several times during a massive brawl on the campus of neighboring cornell university early sunday. another student suffered non-life- threatening
help in identifying a suspect. the latest now on the large earthquake in central italy that has left 290 people dead. italian authorities are vowing to investigate whether building codes played a role in the high death toll. rescue crews continuing to look for survivors and bodies underneath the rubble...and demolishing buildings that are dangerously close to falling down. over the past two days, crews found six more bodies in the rubble of a hotel roma in amatrice , meanwhile - thousands are with many living in tents or their cars. the pope says he is planning on visiting the region to meet with the survivors. a weather system forming around south florida now being upgraded to a tropical depression. miami residents are bracing for heavy rains and preparing to be hit by what the national weather service is calling tropical depression 9. the new storm system forming in the florida straits... and is expected to move into the gulf of mexico. residents are stocking up on sandbags to prevent flooding.

regulations include a weight limit of 55-pounds...and people may only use their drones during the daylight hours. an unmanned aircraft must also stay within the pilot's visual line of sight. more than 3-thousand businesses have already received a government exemption to fly. ford is recalling more than 88- thousand cars and s-u-v's in north america. this is due to the engines stalling without warning due to a fuel pump problem. the recall covers certain ford taurus and police interceptor sedans, through 2015 model years. ford says the fuel pump control modules can fail, and the engines may not start, or they could stall...leaving drivers without the ability to restart them. the company says its not aware of any crashes or injuries from the problem. if you'd like to see more on both of these stories...just head to fox6 now dot com or the fox 6 news app. ahead on wakeup - a southwest flight makes an emergency landing after one of the engines failed mid-flight.
