32 year old milwaukee man died on the scene despite life saving efforts by the milwaukee police and fire fighters. it was around 12-40 this morning when the call came in. shortly there after police arrived and barricaded the area with yellow and red police tape. several police and investigators were out here this morning to investigate. the suspect fled the scene and milwaukee police are currently looking for him. that's the very latest from milwaukee's east side -- julie collins. fox 6n saying goodbye --- today two nuns killed inside their mississippi home are being remembered. this as we learn new information about the suspect in custody. angelica joins us from the newsroom with the details. a mass will be held today in jackson, mississippi for two nuns killed last week. yesterday at least 200 people gathered at saint thomas catholic church in mississippi to pay respects to

margaret held. one of the nuns, "sister margaret held," grew up in slinger and worked with the school sisters of saint francis in milwaukee. police found the women stabbed to death inside their home... where they work as nurse practitioners helping people in the poor, rural mississippi. "totally overwhelmed by the support from the community from paula's community from sister margaret's community, from the holmes county ppl who are here, from the church community it's just reaffirming" over the weekend a 46-year-old rodney sanders was arrested after allegedly confessing to the killing the nuns during questioning. sanders was out of prison on probation after being convicted of a d-u-i last year. he was also convicted of armed robbery back in the 1980s. again - a mass is being held in jackson today for the two sisters. kim and jessob. back to you. later today --- a west allis man

is expected in a sauk county courtroom. police say zachary hays killed his neighbor back in may. later that day... he's accused of killing an illinois woman on the interstate in a drive-by shooting in sauk county. he was arrested after a shootout with police near madison. hays has already pleaded not guilty in milwaukee county. and has another court hearing on that case next month. also in expected in court today... one of the men accused of sparking the unrest in sherman park. prosecutors say 19-year-old dale folley save parking lot near 18th and national. his preliminary hearing is scheduled for this afternoon. milwaukee police have tracked down one of the suspected looters during the unrest. they say 27-year-old darius saxton was at the o'reilly auto parts store, metro p-c-s and jet beauty. according to court documents-- he denies taking anything from the stores with the exception of lingerie. he faces three counts of burglary. as milwaukee heals from the violence --- there's a new sign of hope coming out of

this as a negative and they rebuild those businesses.' dozens came together for a surprise 80-th birthday party honoring 'lester staples junior' yesterday... staples is co-owner of 'staple brothers hardware,' located at 35-th and burleigh. two weeks ago, stores and businesses around his burned. thankfully, staple brothers was untouched. the business has ee open for 48 years - and the brothers say theyve never seen anything like what happened that weekend. in recognizing staples, state senator lena taylor calls him a 'community leader.' lt 'hes been supportive of the individuals who live in the community, hes hired people - but also the guy you can talk to and get wisdom from.' family members say staples has always helped out in the neighborhood - like giving those in the community

now with a high near 82. when we might see some more rain and a chance of storms coming up. thousands of people come together for an unusual sporting event in germany. an ox racing competition took place yesterday in a small bavarian town in southern germany. an estimated ten thousand people were on hand to watch the riders and their oxen to race. it's quite a change of pace for the oxen, which are generally known for standing the the sixth time the race was held and it takes place every four years. meantime, in russia these ladies are competing in a "battle of the brides" competition. it's all about giving them a second chance to strut their stuff in their wedding gowns. there are a few challenges-- including singing and bouquet throwing. and then one bride is declared the champion.

milwaukee man died on the scene. the suspect in this stabbing fled the scene and milwaukee police are currently looking for him. that's the very latest from milwaukee's east side -- julie collins. fox 6 news. we are learning more details on two serious crashes in milwaukee from over the weekend. police say the driver of a stolen car is to blame for this accident near 76t after 7:30 yesterday morning. police say the driver of a stolen ford focus was speeding-- and ran a red light. the driver of the stolen car tried to get away-- but was eventually arrested. two of his teenage passengers were seriously hurt. and on friday night-- two teenagers died in a crash near 35th and keefe. police say the 17-year-old driver crashed into a tree. two of his passengers-- latrey robinson hale and demetrius batchelor junior died at the scene. the driver and another passenger

are expected to survive. charges are pending after a scary situation on milwaukee's south side yesterday. police say a 38-year-old man barricaded himself inside his home- with his 6-year-old son for five hours.. officers say he got into an argument with his neighbor and started firing shots. when the neighbor called police-- the suspect barricaded himself inside. after hours of negotiations-- police went inside to arrest him. the child was found safe in a bedroom. the death toll continues to rise after last week's devastating eath angelica is here with the rush against the clock to find survivors. 290 people are confirmed dead after a six-point-two magnitude earthquake shook central italy. rescue crews continuing to look for survivors and bodies underneath the rubble... demolishing buildings that are dangerously close to falling down. the six-point-two magnitude earthquake completely destroyed several towns. thousands are displaced from their homes... with many living in tents or their cars. museums across italy will donate all ticket sales from yesterday to the rebuilding

the region later this week. a permanent cease-fire-- now in effect in colombia. it puts an end to 52 years of bloody combat between the government and the country's largest rebel group. the commander of the revolutionary armed forces of colombia -- or farc -- announced that his fighter would end hostilities at midnight local time. the colombian president made a similar announcement last week, saying the military would end its attacks on farc startin the ceasefire comes after four years of peace talks. the final agreement will be signed next month. brazil's president will address the senate today in her impeachment trial. dilma rousseff is accused of hurting her country's economy by hiding a budget deficit to win re-election in 2014. she says she's done nothing wrong and is being targeted by corrupt lawmakers. late last year rousseff's opponents in congress presented a measure to remove her from office.
