evening... a big backup on i-43 at silver spring road. you can see traffic is moving very slowly... this is the result of two crashes in that area -- just minutes apart. the first happened just after 4-30 -- involving two vehicles -- nobody was hurt. then 8 minutes later -- a three-car crash -- officials tell us one person was taken to the hospital with again this is i-43 south at silver spring road -- so try to find another route if you're heading that way. mother nature welcoming the end of summer with some powerful storms.... two separate systems are expected to impact florida and north carolina. meanwhile -- hurricane madeline is set to hit hawaii -- just as president obama prepares to visit the state. fox's laura ingle has

areas could see several inches of rain. walker says: "..we're going to keep an eye on it and we're going to monitor the waves coming in. it's going to be probably our biggest threat off this one." on cam tag rough weather is also threatening a pacific state. hurricane madeline is expected to pass by hawaii's big island wednesday. the white house is monitoring the storm, and as of right now does not expected it to impact president obama's upcoming trip to oahu. in new york, laura ingle, fox news. it's time for your news and weather together. are injured after a triple shooting this afternoon. milwaukee police were called to the scene at 27th and brown shortly before one. they say two men and a teenager were shot. one of those men was pronounced dead at the scene-- the other two were taken to the hospital for treatment. an investigation is underway for a west allis woman found dead in her milwaukee county jail cell yesterday morning. officials say they found 38-year-old kristina fee-brink fiebrink unresponsive in her cell shortly before

wednesday on a felony warrant. fee-brink fiebrink's family tells us she has had a history of drug problems .the medical examiner has conducted an autopsy but has not released the report yet. milwaukee's mexican consulate is now open for business. it's been open since july but the ribbon cutting ceremony was held today. the consulate means that milwaukee's mexican population won't have to go as far as chicago for visas and other paperwork. it's also expected to advance business opportunities between wisconsin and mexico. weather parts of se wi saw very heavy rain this afternoon, with 2-3" of rain reported. the rain will taper off this evening as a cold front crosses. temperatures will fall into the 60s with areas of fog possible overnight. decreasing clouds, cooler and less humid on wednesday with a high in the middle 70s. sunny and quiet for the end of the week and for most of the holiday

hitting the road this labor day. gas prices are on the rise heading into the holiday -- but numbers remain lower than in previous years. triple-a says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas currently stands at 2-22... that's six cents more than a week ago -- but 27 cents lower than the same time last year. the recent price hike is being blamed on rising oil costs and recent weather issues on the gulf coast. but triple-a says if current trends hold
