milwaukee police-- making several arrests at a memorial for sylville smith. angelica joins us from the newsroom with the latest. police say ten people were arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting an officer. this is near 44th and auer-- the same intersection where 23-year-old sylville smith was shot and killed by a

weeks several complaints from neighbors about the crowd of about 30 to 40 people. officers asked the group to leave peacefully. about 20 minutes later, the crowd was asked to leave again. some left, but others refused to leave, so police began making arrests. dgx state representative david bowen was reportedly there at the time. he tweeted out-- "i just witnessed aclu observer and state rep jonathan brostoff just got arrested." brostoff was detained but police we'll have more on his reaction to being detained coming up in a live report at five on wakeup. meanwhile-- a group of kids is looking to make a difference in the sherman park neighborhood. the kids first initiative will make a stop in sherman park this afternoon. it's a youth empowerment organization that works to bring resources to young people so that they can become mroe productive. the visit will feature a tablet giveaway as well as discussions for long-term plans for jobs. the activities all start at four

three men shot-- one of them killed on the city's northwest side. police were called near 27th and vine yesterday afternoon. police still aren't sure why gunfire broke out. but a teenager was one of the injured victims. this is the third homicide in 2 days and the 90th in milwaukee so far this year. you know there's been a lot of killings lately. so it's just really sad. it's scary. everything is going haywire around here. a lot of people is just dying. people is just dying. again-- no suspects are in custody. a fox6 exclusive-- its being called one of the easiest cases detectives in greenfield have ever had to close... in may, police say 36-year old brian schwochert walked up to a man and punched him. the suspect allegedly hit the man over the head with a brick multiple times and kicked him

the blood-stained items with us. but the real bombshell evidence came from schwocherts facebook page. police say he wrote on his wall he smashed two bricks over the mans head and he deserved it. a search warrant indicates the incident may have been sparked by a feud over a woman. cd 'i wish that every offender - someone who commits a crime - i wish they would go home and do the same thing - put it out on facebook for everybody to see. it sure would make our job a lot easier.' of substantial battery. two milwaukee mothers say they are waiting for justice. they'll be holding a rally and vigil in honor of their two sons tomorrow. their sons were hit and killed while riding their motorcycles earlier this month. the driver who struck them was initially taken into custody-- but hasn't yet been charged. he killed my baby...this is

justice, not when you let a person out. 25-year-old deangelo maxwell and 36-year-old james morris were struck and killed at 6th and mckinley. the driver of the truck who hit them was initially arrested-- but just two days after the wreck was released from custody. a medical examiner's report indicates "two open bottles of alcohol were noted in the back seat of the truck" and "a marijuana pipe could be seen laying on the ground..." the milwaukee county district atto is still under review for additional evidence related to accident reconstruction. it sounded like a brutal crime-- but as it turned out-- it didn't happen. a 12-year-old girl told milwaukee police she had been sexually assaulted in a park near 23rd and national. five men were arrested. but that girl has since recanted her statement. police say they determined the incident was quote, "baseless". a busy day in court today... the man accused of killing a person outside a milwaukee police station will be have his

65-year-old randall drescher is facing one count of first degree reckless homicide. police say drescher along with another man were sitting in a van outside the police station at 27th and kinnickinnic earlier this month. officers say those two men got into an argument with 42-year-old reed carlsen. at one point -- drescher allegedly pulled out a gun... shooting and killing carlsen. the former cudahy police dispatcher accused of stealing parking ticket money is also expected in court today. prosecutors say melissa mueller was caught on camera since resigned from her job. her preliminary hearing is scheduled for this afternoon. also due in court today-- the man accused of sexually assaulting and waterboarding a woman in racine. 29-year-old michael martinez will have his preliminary hearing later this morning. a criminal complaint says he forcibly put a towel over the woman's face and then poured water on it to try to get information out of her. she says she felt like she was drowning.... and that it went on for quite some time. if convicted -- martinez could

5-10 mph a potential new arena could be coming ... to racine! city leaders want to get started as soon a possible.. but before they d need the county to sign off on it. our krystle kacner has more on the proposal. the racine county board heard from the public.... i strongly encourage you to move forward with this project .and then from racine's mayor... nat of mayor during meeting about the benefits to a proposed racine arena. officials say the 38-hundred seat arena would be build downtown.. on the southeast corner of lake avenue and gaslight drive.. and would host events like hockey.. nba d league basketball... concerts... wrestling matches...

would not be able to finance this by themselves because the plan is still in it's infancy .. that's still one of the big question marks in all of this -- finances-- exactly where would the estimated cost of 40 million dollars come from.. if the county decides it wants to partner with the city on this project. this is a big one for all of us in the county the city you look at 440 construction jobs, 46 to 70 million dollars in development if you include the hotel racine's mayor says they weren't expecting any answers at tuesday nights meeting..s is of the the essence with a project like this. our job is to now try to get this done. the county board will do their best to do this in a timely fashion so that were not dragging our feet on this etc the county board says one of the next steps that still needs to be taken is hearing more from the public. tuesday night, they did hear from some residents, but they were mostly business owners from downtown racine. the county board says they plan to hold another public hearing soon. in racine county,

we are now hearing 9-1-1 calls from the night a lone gunman opened fire inside an orlando, florida, nightclub. the massacre at pulse nightclub on june 12-th left 49 people dead and dozens more wounded. in this call, a man seeks help for his girlfriend, who he says was in pulse when the shooting happened. take a listen ... caller "my girlfriend is hiding in club pulse where people are shot and dead and there's like 18 people hiding in the bathroom. are you guys sending anybody there?" operator "we have a lot of deputies there. we're trying to get everybody out safe." the woman the caller was referring to. the shooter, omar mateen, was gunned down by police during a shootout. chicago police superintendent eddie johnson -- taking another step toward firing five police officers, over the shooting death of laquan mc-donald. johnson filed charges with the city's police board, asking that officer jason van dyke, three fellow officers and a sergeant be fired for lying about the confrontation with mc-donald. van dyke faces a murder trial, for firing the deadly shot in
