now around 120 miles per hour...and the storm has been downgraded to a category three hurricane. but it is still considered extremely dangerous. forecasters predict storm surge in some areas could be as high as 11 feet and as many as 15 inches of rain could fall. the national weather service warned that some places could be uninhabitable for "weeks or months." hurricane matthew has already killed hundreds in the caribbean...the death toll now over 280 in haiti. our meteorologist stephanie barichello is tracking the stephanie -- what is the latest path this storm is taking. stephanie discusses hurricane

evacuate as hurricane matthew bears down on florida ...and in a rare move - disney world has shut down... one mequon family is caught in the middle of the mess. deandra corinthios is live from mitchell international airport with their story. thousands of flights around the

orlando are canceled...those airports shut down because of the storm. leaving one mequon family stuck in florida with no way to get home. the linneman lin-uh-min family began their week in hilton head, south carolina before mandatory evacuations were ordered.the family then drove to their planned end destination ear closed. it's only the fourth time in history that's happened. the linneman's are sheltered in place inside their hotel. they say the hotels are still providing food, but the lines for pizza--- was nearly 2 hours! we've just gotten to the point where we are just going to laugh it off and say we survived something else on vacation and now it's a category 4 hurricane. the linneman's are due to fly out of orlando on sunday. meanwhile some wisconsinites are headed right into the storm...the red cross is sending 18 trained wisconsin volunteers to the hardest hit areas. two are leaving from milwaukee

fired several shots into the group-- hitting a 19-year-old man. he was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. less than half an hour later-- around 8-15-- police responded to another non-fatal shooting. this one near 18-th and pearl. investigators say a 25-year-old man was shot after he was confronted by an unknown suspect. he was taken to the hospital. police say a fight over a car led to another shooting around 10-30 last night. this happened near 83-rd and glen. officials say during the fight, the suspect grabbed a gun and shot a 25- year-o the hospital and is expected to survive. a 28-year-old man is in the hospital after he was grazed by a bullet. the victim says he was driving near 35-th and center around 11-30 last night when a suspect fired several shots into his vehicle. the victim then drove himself to the hospital. police are still looking for suspects in each of these cases. busy weekend here in brew city -- the guys from f-m 106 break down what to do in this weeks milwaukee musts. and the cooking mom is here making some fall treats!

traffic map = major delays yellow on traffic map = some delays green on traffic map = no delays category 3 storm is pounding florida coastline! e storm has already been blamed for the deaths of hundreds of people in the caribbean. dianne gallagher is in jacksonville, florida with the latest. the rain and winds already starting to come in here in jacksonville and we're still several hours away from the hurricane actually coming up to this area. much of the florida coastline feeling the impact of this storm already. at this point, hundreds of thousands of people have evacuated but because the storm is upon us right now, authorities here are saying,

florida as hurricane matthew forces millions to evacuate. but one group of wisconsinites is headed right into the storm deandra corinthios is live from general mitchell international airport with more. thousands of flights are canclled...two flights to orlando today will not take off...because of hurricane matthew. red cross volunteers are headed southeast...a the red cross says 18 trained wisconsin volunteers from across the state will go where the damage is. two volunteers are leaving milwaukee friday morning ready to serve meals, and distribute clean up kits. thursday a emergency response vehicle departed from madison. another left from wausau. the red cross has shelters...more than 500 disaster workers and 90 response vehicles standing by in florida, georgia, north carolina and south carolina. they're preparing for a large scale response. these volunteers have been on

tough conditions and theyre ready for it. they love to help. meanwhile -- we've spoken to a family from mequon trapped in florida. you'll hear from them in the next half hour reporting live in milwaukee dc fox6 news. --- a fatal shooting is under investigation right now. it happened early this morning around 4-45 near 38th and wright. the medical examiner's office confirms they were notified of a death at this location. stay with fox six for the latest on this breaking story. the f-b-i is announcing the result of a major raid that took place early yesterday morning -- targeting alleged drug dealers and gang members. investigators say 28 people are now in custody.
