salt trucks were deployed sunday...to make this morning's commute a bit easier. milwaukee dpw crews pre-treated the roads saturday, then, the salt trucks went out on the main highways throughout the day, tackling secondary roads in the late afternoon and evening. there were a few crashes...including this one on northbound i-41 north of highway 60. a wisconsin state patrol trooper's squad was struck by a vehicle. thankfully he's going most drivers though say they had no issues getting around. "the roads were a little bit of water little it of moisture on ground but not too slippery it seemed like the salt trucks had been out a little bit" dpw reminds drivers to give other drivers and plows plenty of room on the roads.

police are investigating a shooting on milwaukee's north side. officials say that a 25-year-old man was shot and injured in an exchange of gunfire with another man. he was taken to the hospital and is expected to be ok. a 19-year-old man remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. a judge has ordered a hand recount of michigan's presidential results to begin today. this as the recount co here in wisconsin. angelica joins us now with the latest. wisconsin crossed a milestone sunday in the election recount -- more than 1 million votes have now been counted up a second time. of the 59 counties that have reported some or all of their results, president- elect donald trump has picked up about 40 more votes than hillary clinton. six counties have finished their recounts -- none in our area. in racine county, election inspectors are now just about halfway-through the count. mr trump won wisconsin by

recount continues after a federal judge refused to immediately stop it on friday. the judge has scheduled a hearing for this friday to consider the request from two pro-trump groups. meanwhile - a recount of michigan's presidential election results will begin today at noon. the move increases the chances that the state could complete the count ahead of a december 12th deadline. green part candidate jill stein's lawyers argued that waiting until wednesday would cut it too close. this happening as the green party is ty federal court order for a statewide recount in pennsylvania. and if you would like to stay updated on the election commissions progress here in wisconsin -- officials are posting daily updates of the recount. you can track the developments on our website -- fox six now dot com, or your fox six news mobile app. the weather may have been terrible...but the packers were able to pull out a win in the snow! packers getting victories two weeks in a row. the game started out with a few

"so it feels good i'm really happy that i'm here to witness it and celebrate with a

keep in mind that we need to be ready to keep going." the corps said in a statement that developers need to look into alternative routes. the tribe is also urging the incoming trump administration to respect the decision. meanwhile - the company behind the pipeline is slamming the obama administration for the decision. dallas-based energy transfer partners released a statement calling the decision - quote - "just the latest in a series of overt and transparent political actions by an abandoned the rule of law in favor of currying favor with a narrow and extreme political constituency." the company also reiterated its plan to complete construction of the pipeline without rerouting it. paul ryan also speaking out about the decision -- tweeting : "this is big-government decision-making at its worst. i look forward to putting this anti-energy presidency behind us." meanwhile -- bernie sanders responding by tweeting -- "in 2016, we should not continue to trample on native american sovereignty. and we

oakland warehouse party continues to climb. officials now say 33 bodies have been found...and firefighters expect to find more. crews are painstakingly searching through the rubble of the burned out building. the fire broke out during a dance party late friday night. oakland's mayor says a criminal investigation team has been activated at the site. inhabitan known as the "ghost ship" -- say the building had been carved into artist studios and was an illegal home for about a dozen people. they say the building was cluttered and had few exits. and in tennessee -- the death toll from massive wildfires rises to 14. authorities say an 81-year-old woman died after she had a medical event driving that caused a multi-car crash. she was trying to flee from the fire that destroyed nearly 17-hundred buildings. officials have also increased

emergency management agency said a mass text message telling people to evacuate was never sent. they say the local command post requested the message at 8:30 p-m last monday, but communication between agencies was lost because of disabled phones, internet and electrical services. a man is rescued after two cars crashed into a giant sinkhole in texas. the sinkhole was created when a large sewer line ruptured. a woman -- who helped pull a man out of the hole -- was injured during that rescue...but onl injuries. officials also say the man is in "good shape." the san antonio water system reports that there had been four other sewer spill overflows on sunday. and a close call in toledo. several train cars derailed -- and at least two cars overturned. police say two cars that fell on their sides were carrying a highly-flammable chemical. thankfully, neither of those cars started leaking. you can also see that part of the train struck a tower, which supports high-tension power lines. authorities evacuated two nearby homes as a precaution.
