wauwatosa police have provided us with a copy of the district attorneys decision not to pursue charges against the officer in this case investigators say wauwatosa police officer joseph mensahs account of this june 23-rd shooting is backed up by what we see on this short video were freezing the video right before shots are fired, but police chief barry weber says mensahs use of force is justified. investigators say officer mensa after it had closed officer mensah approached jay anderson, who appeared to be sleeping in his car. the officer noticed a semi-automatic firearm on the passenger seat. after viewing the gun, the officer took out his firearm and ordered anderson to put his hands in the air. anderson, meanwhile, allegedly lowered his arm toward the gun at least three times. officer mensah then fired his gun, shooting anderson. " i have watched that video at least 20 times and i was able to watch it in slow in motion forwards backwards frame by frame, i could take as much time as i needed. the police officer had

shot and killed jay anderson has been cleared of wrongdoing. the dash cam video has been made public. deandra corinthios is live from the wauwatosa police department with the details. officer joseph mensah shot jay anderson six times...killing him. the wauwatosa police chief says the officer received mandatory and is cleared to return to work. he will not face charges this is the dashcam video. were freezing the video right before shots are fired, but police chief barry weber says mensahs use of force is justified. the wauwatosa police department does not have body cameras. but the shooting was recorded because immediately after the shots were fired, officer mensah remotely activated the camera in his squad, which retroactively records 20 seconds prior to hitting the button. chief weber says mensah

his car on june 23rd. anderson was asked to up his hands up after the officer noticed a gun on the passenger seat it was a ruger 9 mm loaded with 16 rounds of ammunition and one in the chamber. mensah called for backup...anderson allegedly reached for the gun. an armed robbery near marquette campus. it happened just after 10:30 last night at the jimmy johns restaurant near 15th and wells. police say a man came in, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. the suspect grabbed money from the register and ran away. an employee who was inside the business was not hurt. new this morning - two exotic dancers from milwaukee... are charged with assault... after a fight involving a high heel stiletto and mace... police in mankato, minnesota say 23- year-old ebony jordan and 26-year- pushing and shoving two dancers they had a dispute with at a bar... where a manager tried to break it up... but then jordan and strayhorn turned back and charged at the other dancers... jordan hitting one woman in the face with a high heel stiletto and ripping the woman's weave... while strayhorn sprayed them with mace. jordan and strayhorn then got into a car... ignoring officers' orders to stay put... and drove off. police later pulled them over... and they admitted they were in that

waukesha man has been charged with strangulation... fourth degree sexual assault.... and resisting arrest. police say 29-year-old jacob rodriguez went to a couple's apartment to help fix a t-v. all three were drinking - when the suspect began touching the wife inappropriately... despite her telling him to stop. the husband tried to get rodriguez to leave... but rodriguez punched kim in the face... and began choking him. when police arrested rodriguez, he refused to give them his last name... and tried pulling away from the handcuffs before he was subdued.. and taken to jail. the husband was milwaukee's anthony 'showtime' pettis-- a star in the world of mixed martial arts-- is talking for the first time since he was the victim of two separate crimes involving his cars. as julie collins reports... the crimes are inspiring pettis to work on improving milwaukee's youth.... but first he has a different battle to prepare for: an upcoming title fight. 'its scary to see where the youth is at. i feel there has to be some changes and i think im in a position where i can make some changes so its up to me to go out there instead

and more from across america. the jury said it was unable to unanimously agree on a verdict for michael slager. slager was charged and on trial for shooting 50-year-old walter scott to death after stopping him for having a broken taillight. cellphone video taken by a bystander of the shooting sparked national outrage. scott's family says they will continue to work until justice is served. prosecutors say murder charges are possible... as they investigate a deadly warehouse fire in oak has now climbed to 36 people... with crews still trying to find victims. work had to stop yesterday because a wall began leaning inward... but it has since resumed. about 70 percent of the building has been searched so far. the fire erupted during a dance party late friday night. the owner of the florida nightclub where 49 people were shot and killed is no longer selling the property. barbara poma had indicated that she planned to sell pulse nightclub to the city of orlando. but now she says she is going to

hope" for all those affected by the tragedy. poma opened the club in 20-04 in remembrance of her brother who died of aids. the property has been closed since june after gunman omar mateen committed the nation's worst mass shooting. poma says she now welcomes any involvement from individuals, communities or organizations that want to help her develop the area. more than one million votes... now counted a second time in wisconsin... with just six days till the recount deadline... only six counties out o the wisconsin elections commission says all counties are on track to finish the work on time by the state deadline of december 12th. meanwhile -- in michigan - the recount expands today to the state's largest county -- which includes detroit. five other counties will be recounting ballots there today as well. this comes as the state's appeals court will hear arguments on the president elect's request to halt the recount.
