his mother and her boyfriend are accused of aiding a felon. the dodge county sheriff's office says the victim is ware junior's girlfriend. according to court documents she was found dead in ware junior's pick up truck and there was a lot of blood in his garage. family members described their relationship as "volatile". wauwatosa police officers are on alert. they say they've received threatening messages since monday's announcement .. there officer who fatally shot another man. the d-a made that ruling based on milwaukee police department investigations. fox6's myra sanchick went through the reports and has more information,. the documents from the milwaukee police investigation are 180 pages. they describe the day of june 23d shortly after three am when officer joseph mensah, a black officer with the wauwatosa police department was on routine patrol. documents say mensah went to check

morning crash in greenfield. one man was hurt -- after a car and a semi-truck collided on highway 100. it happened just after five this morning near morgan avenue. police say a 33-year-old man ended up trapped inside the car. he was taken to froedtert hospital -- because of the severity of his injuries. the 54-year-old semi driver is cooperating with police. a top wisconsin republican says governor walker is "dis-investing" in roads. that was how assemblm day-long hearing at the capitol. walker has proposed delaying major highway projects in southeast wisconsin to plug a billion- dollar shortfall. today, his d-o-t secretary revealed that it would take 70 years to rebuild deteriorating interstates around milwaukee at the current level of funding... but the existing roads won't last that long. clearly there would have to be other allocations made and
interim time to make sure we were maintaining that system as well walker is opposed to extra taxes or fees to pay for roads -- putting him at odds with republican leaders of the assembly. four deaths in six months inside the milwaukee county jail... now auditors are trying to get to the bottom of who's responsible. fox6's madeline anderson talks with a top county official ?leading the investigation. on whether the deaths of these three inmates... plus a stillborn baby... were the result of inadequate medical attention at the milwaukee county jail... county leaders are launching their own efforts to find out. it certainly sounds like some of this may have been preventable. board of supervisors chairman theo lipscomb has requested an audit of the contract the county has with a private company called "armor" which provides medical services
correction. lipscomb also questions how milwaukee county sheriff david clarke has been running the jail.. theres the management of the facility. how does that interact with medical professionals and medical care.last week... supervisor supreme moore omokunde called for clarke to resign. clarke said in response... he's upset "i got donald j trump elected potus." lipscomb says it's not his place to tell the sheriff what to do... but he does want to launch an external in operations of the jail. the question is... what cooperation would we get from the sheriff in allowing that to be conducted by a third party? we reached out to the sheriff for comment on the audit last week... his office referred us to that previous statement he made. reporting live outside of the milwaukee county jail... madeline anderson fox6news. ted thanks madeline the numbers are alarming. we're approaching a near record number

the battle against opioid abuse has folks -- throughout southeastern wisconsin -- looking up. justin williams shares more on a new, comprehensive campaign -- targeting what law enforcement calls an epidemic. you may have heard the numbers ... during a difficult, seven-week period, this summer, in milwaukee county, about 70 people died from drug overdoses. now, you can see the will communicate to our citizens, over the next, eight weeks, and to all passers-by about the dangers of heroin, and misusing prescription painkillers, and to instruct them how to find help and, properly, dispose of them. tuesday, folks throughout southeastern wisconsin are witnessing the next move in a continuing battle against opioid misuse, and heroin and fentanyl abuse- - as they see these billboards flashing throughout southeastern wisconsin. it'll inform residents how to make a difference, in their own communities, and, most importantly, it has the capacity
