delivered. tabulators spent the day double checking all 29-thousand of west allis ballots... the final municipality in milwaukee county to complete its recount. to wrap this up as the final community in the county feels like a real achievement. as of thursday afternoon... the wisconsin elections commission reports 47 of the state recount... thats approximately 82 percent of all ballots. despite claims of machines being hacked and widespread problems... the discrepancies between recount and election night results have been minor. so far... hillary clinton is up 556 votes... while president elect trump is up 496. the results of the election are not going to change in this recount. milwaukee county clerk joe czarnezki says the only hiccup came wednesday... when the city of

an office in city hall. in a statement... the greenfield city clerk explains what happened: quote during the recount it was realized wards 1, 3, and 12 did not have all their ballots from the polls on election day. poll workers in these wards did not properly package the ballots at the end of election day for transport to milwaukee county. czarnecki says the 400 missing ballots were hand counted to make sure they matched up with the number of ballots that were cast in those wards on election night. 5:28 we worked long hours. somedays it was 12, 14 hour days. but we got the job done. mary thanks madeline you'll find daily recount results on the links page of our website -- fox six now dot com -- or your fox six news

thats what many milwaukee families are trying to do after losing loved ones in unrelated overnight shootings. four people are now dead -- and one is recovering at a local hospital.... fox six's angelica sanchez spoke with several members of those families. she joins us from milwaukee police district 4 with more. angelica ben and mary.. in total, three unrelated shootings ended the lives of four people. one neighbor who heard the commotion of one of the shootings wonders if anything can be done to end such violence. screaming and gunfire--- thats what police say a neighbor heard coming from a home on appleton and florist. when police arrived they discovered a 38-year-old woman and 36-year-old man both from milwaukee with gunshot wounds. both died at the scene. an 11-year old and 16-year old were discovered hiding in a room. they are not suspects and were not injured. a relative who did not wish to be identified said new living arrangements

who are still trying to make sense of what happened. . these were not the only lives lost to gunfire overnight. at 9:30 pm wednesday, a 67- year-old man was shot and killed while driving near 36th and thurston. his car kept running and struck a fire hydrant... telephone pole and then crashed into this home. the debris is still visible. a near by neighbor describes what she heard. ' i her heard the thump i went to the bathroom and saw all these flashing red and blue lights i knew something happened and went back to bed. police say no one was inside at the time of the crash. 'its very scary...its like what do we do? the last shooting happened near 52nd and green tree. police say a preliminary investigation shows a 34-year-old man took his own life after attempting to also kill his 32-year-old girlfriend. she survived her injury and a relative on the scene tells fox6 shes recovering well. a relative for

comment on the incident. . these are all ongoing investigations as police continue to search for suspects and motives behind the deadly gun fire. we're live outside milwaukee district four. i'm angelica sanchez fox6 news. ben thanks angelica one of the men convicted in the death of 5-year-old laylah petersen is sentenced to 30 years in prison... arlis gordon was sentenced today he pleaded guilty in september of second-degree reckless homicide -- and three counts of recklessly endangering safety. in addition to the 30 years in prison -- gordon will also serve 19 years of extended supervision. petersen was shot and killed inside her grandparents home in november 2014. police are looking for a suspect after an armed robbery on milwaukee's north west side. it happened last night at "the wing stop" near 76th and good hope. police say the suspect showed

today, we're learning more about the significant changes which are scheduled for milwaukee's downtown business district. this, following today's official announcement that one of the city's long-time, banking staples will, soon, begin construction of a new building. justin williams is live downtown with more. details... and today we have several more to share -- regarding b-mo harris bank's planned addition to milwaukee's downtown business district. if you can't feel their excitement, i can't contain myself. you can, most certainly, hear it ... this is, indeed, an exciting day for bmo harris, and michael best, and the city of milwaukee. thursday, those three entities

thousand-square-foot office tower, which will house both bmo harris bank headquarters, and the law firm of michael best and friedrich. the bmo financial center will be a significant addition to downtown milwaukee. construction is slated to start, next summer, and be completed by late, 20-19. what will, officially, be known center at market square will be located right next to b-mo harris' current location, at 7-70 north water street. that location will be redeveloped into a multi-use building, beginning in 2020. i think about the years that b-mo and m&i have been together, uh, nothing--nothing, makes me happier, than to announce, today, this new building. some of the joy expressed is attributed to the project developer's commitment to employing a diverse workforce-- in the absence of any government funding. when people come downtown, particularly, from the neighborhoods, they can see men

on a cold december day: summerfest making a big announcement today with a large new project. fox6s carl deffenbaugh has more on the major upgrades coming to the grounds. while so much of the attention is on summerfests 50th anniversary in 2017, officials also have their eye on

'if you dont keep improving, you are absolutely moving backwards.' milwaukee world festival and u.s. cellular announced a new ten-year agreement thursday morning, which includes a major project on the north end of the grounds. starting right after summerfest 2017, the u.s. cellular connection stage will be torn down, moved slightly and replaced in time for the 2018 festival. 'the design of the stage is purposeful in the fact that well get a great view of the lakefront, a great view of the skyline.' able to hold 9-10,000 fans. u.s. cellular will add more charging stations and increase virtual reality experiences - including interactivity with a brand new video board. 'well have a 25-foot led screen, which will be the largest screen on the festival grounds.' and that will be used to attract country and pop artists from around the world. 'we compete on a global basis for bands. so its
