the recount will go on... a federal judge says he is denying a pro- trump group's request to halt wisconsin's recount. milwaukee county is complete! in fact, more than 80- percent of the votes across the state have been recounted. so far, the discrepancies between recount and election night results have been minor. tabulators spent yesterday counting all 29-thousand of west allis ballots... the final municipality in milwaukee county to complete its recount. the only hiccup throughout the whole process came wednesday when the city of greenfield discovered about 400 ballots in an office in city hall.

expected to get several inches of snow this weekend. and triple-a has issued a winter weather advisory for the state ahead of that storm. triple-a recommends that drivers brush up on winter driving techniques. -- make sure you have an emergency kit in your car. pack it full of blankets-- a flashlight with extra batteries-- a first aid kit-- a shovel-- and some sand. triple-a also recommends checking your anti-freeze. ..as well as replacing old windshield wiper blades and washer fluid. with snow in the forecast -- now is the time to download the fox6 storm center app. it's free and available on android and apple devices.

shooting near 27th and galena. police say a 44- year- old man was shot about 11 last night... and taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. no word yet on what led up to the shooting... or if anyone is in custody. meanwhile in oconomowoc... a car crashed into a garage near wisconsin and sawyer road.. you can see the scorched car being towed away. we're told flight for life responded. officials have not released much information. but we'll bring you the latest as we get it-- and update you on our website: fox milwaukee police say they've made an arrest in connection to a strong- armed robbery. this is surveillance footage from the incident. it happened near 10th and oklahoma. in the top right corner of the screen you see the suspect try to grab the victim's purse -- and then repeatedly punch her. he then grabs the purse and flees in a gray four door vehicle. police say one male is in custody.. charges are expected in the

is under arrest in connection with an armed robbery at a jimmy john's monday night in downtown milwaukee. the suspect is also accused in an attempted strong-armed robbery at real chili. prosecutors should get the case in the coming days. it's a story you'll see only on fox 6 -- targeted by scammers. they got away with not only money, but a milwaukee business' identity. fox 6's brittany shannon tells you how scammers are using that stolen companies. it's another day at the office for phil areddia. "38:12 very shocking" sifting through emails from potential customers. "40:00 hello sales. my name is, then its our sales managers name of the john m ellsworth company" but this is a customer employees know to steer clear of. "38:24 they could fool a lot of people" in fact, employees at john m ellworth were fooled a year ago. they received an email claiming to be from a reputable company

shipped a small portion out and when they changed the shipping at the last minute somebody said something doesnt look right here 37:00" the goods were sent to a fake address and ellsworth lost about one thousand dollars. the apparent "reputable company" turned out to be a scam artist posing as the business. during email correspondence, they steal letterhead, addresses and names. this fraudulent email uses the name of a john m ellsworth employee. the scammer also slightly alters the email address. "37:51 th out your credit application they find out all the information they need to pose as you. 57" "24:52 theyre getting better and better at using the technology to fool people and to commit fraud57" they even use fake phone numbers. we called the number scammers used on this email... "41:43 it just goes right to voicemail 44" the better business bureau advises picking up the phone before placing orders.

energized by those kinds of environmental battles. lane says "..don't forget that there's a lot of important money in the democratic camp from tom stier, among others that flows in the democratic party based on environmental issues, so those types of people will be arguing to take a stand on scott pruitt." andy puzder as labor secretary is a little more complicated. as c-e-o of fast food chains hardees and carls junior, puzder has opposed hikes in the minimum wage, but, supported the expanded use of immigrant labor. ingrham says "..it could be one of those odd picks that annoys both sides." on cam tag and, republicans won't have much room to spare. they'll only have fifty-one or fifty-two seats in the senate next year, just a bare majority. but thanks to rule changes made by democrats, all you need is a simple majority in the senate now to confirm cabinet picks. in washington, doug luzader, fox news.

and on thursday, john glenn died at the age of 95,. the former astronaut had been hospitalized "more than a week ago," at ohio state university's cancer hospital. glenn was the last living member of the group, known as the "mercury 7." after retiring from nasa, glenn continued to serve his country as a u.s. senator, representing ohio on capitol hill for 24 years. meanwhile - glenn's legacy is being remembered by astronomy magazine. it's based in waukesha. "it was not unexpected, he was 95, but still a sad day in the glenn is survived by his wife, annie and their two children. reaction has been pouring in.. including from president obama. he posted on facebook : "the last of america's first astronauts has left us-- but propelled by their example we know that our future here on earth compels us to keep reaching

killed. roof was taken into custody a day after the shooting. meanwhile - roof's lawyers say his mother suffered a heart attack in court yesterday...after listening to opening statements. no word on her condition. detroit police are hoping newly- released video will help them catch whoever shot and killed a wayne state police officer. officials believe the suspect was riding a bike with a small front wheel at the time of the k 22nd. the president of detroit's police union promised to work with officers to find the suspect and get him off the street. wayne state university police sergeant collin rose was 29-years- old. he was killed while investigating a rash of car break-ins near campus. toss to weather. a mix of clouds and sunshine

part of the "mercury seven" chosen to take part in the u-s first attempt to put men in space. in 1962, "the capsule is turning around, oh the view is tremendous." the military test pilot, became the first american to orbit the earth. catapulting the u-s in the space race. "god speed john glenn." 36 years later--at the age of 77, he made history again. after training extensively, he became the oldest person in space. flyin "i think too often people say well, i'm at this age supposed to now be a couch potato. and i think the thing to do is just get and work to fulfill your dreams and your ambitions at whatever age." in his lifetime--he gained recognition that helped launch a successful political career. serving as a u-s senator, representing ohio, for 24 years. 00:57 john glenn was in many ways an american hero. at astronomy magazine--based in
