the shelter opens back up overnight the demand for help spikes this time of year. repairers of the breach has been busy. on monday night--12 people passed through, tuesday afternoon more than 100. that number is expected to grow as the cold air sticks around. staff are working extra hours....putting out food, scarves and hats. the first republican to win wisconsin since ronald reagan. last night -- he thanked governor scott walker and house speaker paul ryan for their hard work. "he's like a fine wine, every day goes by i get to appreciate his genius more and more, and if he ever goes against me i'm not gonna say that ok?" mr trump mocked wisconsin's recount but said it was worth it because it showed he won by even more. the crowd was so large that state fair partition in the back of the room to allow for more people. the fire marshal said they would do that when the crowd hit six-thousand. democrats responding to the president-elect's visit. state representative jocasta zamarripa issued this statement saying - quote - "it is clear trump has no interest in changing the ways things are and is selling out main street to keep his corporate friends and wealthy special interests happy." if our new president-elect is truly going to put workers first, he

who have put american jobs and industry in jeopardy." there were several protests that interrupted president elect trump's speech. but for the most part, things were peaceful. if you'd like to hear more of mr. trump's speech-- we've posted it on our website. fox6 now dot com. just find the story on our home page. a sheboygan man is charged with making terrorist threats. this after his posts online caused some to fear he was plotting a school shooting. 21-year-old joshua bagemehl buying an assault riffle on monday.on sunday-- authorities say the suspect posted on facebook quote: "someone needs to do a school shooting around here. it would be funny as expletive ."two days later he posted videos of his newly purchased gun. someone turned in his posts to "crime stoppers".. authorities say bagemehl told authorities he enjoys watching violent videos, and doing so makes the urge to shoot people go away. he says the posts were done, to get "a reaction." he's due back in

searching for a robbery suspect. officials say a woman went to waukesha state bank around 5 yesterday evening. she demanded money from the teller with a note. no weapons were implied or shown. the suspect got an undisclosed amount of money before she took off. she's described as thin and her height is around 5-3. police say she spoke with an accent. anyone with information is asked to call police. waukesha police also investigating possible illegal activities taking place at several local massage businesses. investigators say they received anonymous tips about possible prostit locations. so far -- several arrests have been made...and charges are pending. ahead on wakeup - mourning the loss of actor alan thicke. the latest on the death of the "growing pains" star. also this morning - a ceasefire deal in syria is unraveling. details on the evacuation that was supposed to take place today. plus - body cam footage released a day after two officers are shot in georgia. we have the latest on their condition after

a ceasefire that was to end a two year bloody war in syria is broken. hours before a planned evacuation was set to take place....shelling resumed in a rebel-held neighborhood. the turkey-brokered ceasefire between regime-aligned militia and rebel forces was announced yesterday. government forces had reclaimed most of aleppo. the planned evacuation of rebels and civilians has now been delayed. the first group that was supposed to leave was to consist of 70 injured people and their family members. today marks four years since the deadly shooting at the sandy hook elementary school in connecticut. 20-year-old adam lanza killed 20 children and six teachers. the gunman also shot and killed his mother before driving to

own life. a moment of silence is planned today at 9:30 a.m....and a counceling center will be open for extended hours. body camera footage has been released...after two georgia officer were shot during a traffic stop monday night. the two officers approached the man after they had stopped him for driving a stolen car. the video shows one of the officers being shot in the arm and then the other in the hand. the officers then run to safety. after a massive search effort -- police located the gunman. they found khari gordon hiding in some bushes about a mile from attempted murder and aggravated assault charges. both officers are recovering. and in california -- the investigation continues into an officer-involved shooting in bakersfield that left a 73-year-old man dead. the family of francisco serna says the 73-year-old was suffering from dementia when he was killed. police say they were called to serna's neighborhood early monday amid reports of a man threatening neighbors and possibly having a gun. when police got there, they say serna walked toward one officer

red tape in getting approval for drugs and medical devices. the act includes the "cancer moonshot" initiative led by vice president joe biden... which gives nearly 2 billion dollars to the fight against cancer. it's in honor of his son, beau - who died last year of brain cancer. ohio governor john kasich signed a bill tuesday outlawing abortions in the state after 20 weeks. the governor described the measure as "the most legally sound and sustainable approach to protecting the sanctity of human kasich however...vetoed an amendment known as the "heartbeat bill." it would have banned abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, usually at six weeks. measures similar to the heartbeat bill, passed by other states, have twice been declared unconstitutional by federal judges. hollywood loses another sitcom star....alan thicke died last night after he suffered a heart attack. he reportedly was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son when it happened.
