washington university, dozens of students deal with the norovirus outbreak. brianne carter has more details. >> good morning. if you have ever known anyone than as have the norovirus, you know how sick you can get. a lot of people on campuses after hearing that so many people were developing symptoms they say that there is cause for concern. an outbreak of norovirus on the campus of george washington university has students and community members on high alert. >> it is definitely scary for us knowing it's on campus and we have to be aware. >> according to officials at the university, 85 students have come to university health services with the virus, most of them within the last 24 hours. if students suffering from the stomach illness attend a wide range of classes, at different locations on and off campus. there is no commonality among the cases. >> i am a little more concerned

afternoon for local paramedic who died while responding to a call last week. joshua weissman died shortly after falling off interstate 395. jummy olabanji joins us from alexandria where loved ones will gather today to honor his memory. >> good morning. they gathered last nights for the visitation. joshua weissman started volunteering with his local fire department when he was 16 years old. he lived a life of service and died in performing those acts of service. last night not far from where we are kept at the funeral home was where his friends, family, and cal fire fighterfellow firefighters gathered to say goodbye to the 33- wh year- -- who tied while responding to a and a car fire on 395. he fell into the creek and suffered a fatal head injury. firefighters and friends and

family gathered around and helped one another. we heard from his brother on the life that you lived. >> if it's possible to take anything positive out of something so tragic, it would been how thankful we feel that there are people like josh who are there unflinchingly in the most trying times for those they know and those they don't. >> all 300 members of that department are off until tomorrow night so they can attend all the memorial services. arlington and fairfax will be filling in gaps and responding to emergency calls and so there's no disruption in service calls in alexandria. the funeral starts at 1:00 this afternoon behind us at the beth el hebrew congregational. reporting live in alexandria, jummy olabanji, abc 7 news. >> the funeral starts at 1:00 on seminary road. interment will follow at ideals cemetery on king street.

back to you. >> thank you. you can call this a pretty disturbing valentine's day gift in portland. police want to know who left a beef hearts on the doorstep of a house. >> it came in a box with a note that said, "you will always have my heart." the homeowners have no idea who left it. police admit it is a little alarming. >> now to a story in las vegas. a customer suffers a heart attack while eating a burger at a restaurant that happens to be named to the heart attack grill. >> the customer was eating the burger which was named the triple bypass burger when he began sweating and shaking. it's not clear if tourists were confused or cynical about his misfortune because some started giggling and taking pictures and he was rolled out on an ambulance. >> i felt horrible for the gentleman because tourists were taking photographs of him as if it were a stunt.
