traffic and weather every ten minutes. adam caskey joining us. we got through the snow ok. >> we did. there was beautiful snow falls out of town. they got 10 inches in spots. we had a trace at reagan national. winter ended as the eighth police snowiest on record. if we don't get any more through may 1 it could be the third least snowiest. let's look at temperatures. let's look at the numbers. largely in the '20s. 21 in manassas, 25 in winchester, 34 in annapolis. 21 in frederick. by 6:00 a.m. as the temperatures continue to drop, there will be a few more locations in the teen's besides oakland. 23 degrees in gaithersburg.
clear skies overhead. the combination of clear skies light wind, dry air in place for allowing temperatures could plummet. sunrise at 6:30. will drop a few more degrees before then. no clouds to speak of across most of the eastern half of the united states. we could get clipped by some thin clouds later this morning. overall lot of sunshine not just today but the next couple days, all because of the high pressure system in place. we will be on the cool side with a northerly wind. but the high will slide east, so we will be on one side of that high over the next couple days. then we will get a southerly breeze and temperatures will respond accordingly. tomorrow near 60. by thursday, we could be talking 70 degrees. something to look forward to. mostly sunny today, 50 degrees. a few degrees below average.

caught yet. >> the library was evacuated after a possible suspect was seen changing clothes. police searched the building but did not find anyone. the fbi is testing white powder that was found in a letter at a restaurant in downtown washington and around 6:00 last night. employees discovered the letter with the powder inside. hazmat crews evacuated the restaurant. f street nw was shut down between ninth street and 10th street. it was determined not to be hazardous and the streets reopened. >> the navy will soon begin giving breathalyzer tests to many of its sailors before they report to work aboard a ship. the navy secretary announced the program yesterday, saying the sailors will also be given random drug tests if to test for the use of synthetic marijuana. the new program will spread to the marine corps later this year. >> obstacles in the midwest and the south following last week's deadly tornadoes survive.
