>> a developing story in ellicott city, maryland if. we are waiting to learn the names of two women shot inside st. peter's episcopal church yesterday if. >> police found a man behind the schurch that they believe shot and killed himself. >> it is shocking. what has the world come to? >> allies thing you think is somebody would get shot there. >> police are not sure how long the two women have been lying shot inside the church office before a custodian found democrat 20 minutes after 5:00 tonight. >> he was in the building cleaning when he saw the two women and called immediately. >> a neighbor across the street took this picture of the swat team. he said this is too close to home. >> it is sad because it's right across from my house. >> if police found the man in the woods behind the church they believed to be the shooter. he killed himself and they

recovered a gun. neighbors say there's a school for small children and a program for people battling addiction. it is not clear stand and anything to do with the two women being shot. >> it is really sad. our hearts go out to the famil people. >> one of the women found shot inside the church office was pronounced dead on the scene. the other was flown to baltimore shock trauma. in ellicott city in howard county, tom roussey reporting. >> thanks so much. in the south capitol street murder trial today, the judge expected to respond to a note to the jury gave him yesterday afternoon. in the notes, one juror expressed his concern about being pressured by other jurors. the jury has been deliberating more than a week now. five men are charged in the case and it stems from shootings and crimes which happened in march of 2010. >> if you plan on using metro

gunman who shot a man in southeast washington just before midnight in the 100 block of 34th street. the victim was shot in the neck. no word on his condition or what led to the shooting. investigators are searching for answers after a deadly church shooting in ellicott city, maryland. two women were shot in the church office. one of them died and the other is in critical condition. they also found a man's body in the woods nearby with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. president obama will visit washington-lee high school in arlington this morning to talk about ways to prevent interest rates on federal student loans from doubling. response to extend the low rates, but both parties differ on how to pay for them. >> it's 5:15. the lead civilian lawyer for the u.s. soldier accused of killing sateen -- 17 afghan villagers does not want to undergo a background check. background checks are required in order to obtain security clearance to review classified information. brown says it is troubling that

together a tragedy in ellicott city, maryland if. woman was killed and another in the hospital if. this is after they were both shot inside a church. police later found a man behind st. peter's episcopal faugh. they believe he killed himself. john gonzalez is on the scene with more. >> a terrifying situation. three people shot at this church which is its only about a mile from howard county police headquarters and the court. police are trying to figure out if this was a murder-suicide. in a place of worship that has stood for more than 150 years, a custodian in a gruesome discovery last evening. two women found shot in an office inside this ellicott city church. woman pronounced dead at the scene and the other taken to shock trauma in critical condition. >> it is shocking. one as the world come to? >> police later found a man shot to death in the woods behind the church. a gun was recovered next to the
