others were injured. protesters had tried to cross a police line set up around the convention center. about one dozen activists in our area demonstrated yesterday outside tim geithner's home in bethesda. community activists from 25 states urged him to stand with the 99% and stop protecting the interests of the 1%. the protest was peaceful. it's not clear if he was even at home at the time. the president will attend meetings today in chicago and then go to missouri. it is where he will deliver the commencement address to the building serving as a temporary school for joplin students. tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary of the tornado that killed 161 people and destroyed 7500 buildings including the high school. ground will be broken tomorrow on a new high school, middle school, and elementary schools. >> a jury is back at it this monday morning at the john edwards trial. picking up deliberations today after they broke friday night without reaching a verdict. they are considering six

criminal counts of campaign violations against a former presidential contender. he took money from two of the donors to hide his pregnant mistress during a bid for the white house in 2008. the defense argues the money was a gift and not a campaign contribution if. if convicted on all six counts he faces up to 30 years in prison. >> now to the debate over same- sex marriage. the naacp is throwing its support behind marriage equality. the civil rights group passed a resolution saturday endorsing same-sex marriage as a civil rights. the organization will hold a news conference on the issue this morning at the headquarters in baltimore. two board members voted against the resolution. china is going to the movies. it's the world's biggest cinema owner. >> linda bell has more business news from new york. >> good morning. we are still focused on what is going on in europe. stock-index futures and editing of reopen.

here's a look at live super doppler 7. moderate range along the fairfax and prince william county line. lorton issing moderate rain and fort belvoir. that is pushing to the northwest, approaching manassas and centreville and approaching interstate 66. light rain in northern calvert county, prince george's county anne arundel county has, light showers. temperatures are in the 60's. 64 in leesburg and gaithersburg 66 at reagan national. rain off and on through the day. mainly light in nature but a few heavy showers. chance of thunder. 76 for the high temperature with an east wind and 5-10 miles an hour. it will not bring continuously all day or even tomorrow, but we will have showers off and on. a few sunny breaks tomorrow will boost our temperatures to about 80 degrees. still a pretty good chance of rain through wednesday. slight chance of rain thursday
