>> from abc news this is "world news now." >> we say good morning to everybody on a friday. >> uh-huh. >> i'm kendis gibson. >> i'm reena ninan. this was sort of the moment that the obama administration was waiting for. many ways vindication. we begin with the landmark decision health care coverage will continue for millions of americans now that the supreme court has upheld a major portion of obamacare. >> republican presidential candidates say the battle is far from over. jeb bush tweeting we need to repeal and replace obamacare. here's abc's terry moran. >> out they came dashing across the supreme court plaza the running of the interns. brushing up to reporters, us too, with the answer to that crucial question would obamacare survive. it did. in a stunning 6-3 decision the court saved the lynchpin of the president's health care law, those federal subsidies that already help 6.4 million

americans in 34 states purchase health insurance. >> chief justice john roberts hots saved obamacare once before back in 2012 did it again today rejecting conservatives' arguments that those federal subsidies should not be provided to people who live in states that have refused to set up their own obamacare health insurance exchanges but the chief justice declared that made no sense given the purpose of the law. congress passed the affordable health care act to improve health care markets, not to destroy them. roberts wrote courts should follow what congress intended when they wrote the law. in a democracy, he wrote, the power to make the law rests with those chosen by the people. our role is more confined. justice antonin scalia furious and blasting his colleague who's keep saving this law. we should start calling this law skoe tut care her. >>ed. he add the truth that the supreme court of the united states favors some laws over

>> the environmental investigators insist the drinking water is safe in north andover, massachusetts even though a garbage truck crashed into a lake serving as the up to's main water supply. fire crews managed to contain a small spill of high drol lick fluid. the driver was injured. not seriously though. investigators still don't know the how he lost control of his truck. >> well, an industrial camera containing radio active material that was lost along a louisiana highway has been found. crews on the ground and in the air searches for hours after it fell off a commercial truck along interstate 10. they found it in a ditch. the camera was not damaged or leaking but as a precaution it is being disposed. >> paris cab drivers are promising a second day of protests today. uber the popular and-based ride service is the not subject to all the regulations and taxes that regular taxi drivers are. >> and some of their anger turned into violence and trapped some high profile travelers.
