derailment in eastern tennessee. it was hauling toxic chemicals from ohio to georgia when it jumped the tracks. a car burst into flames sending fumes into the air. 5,000 people had to be evacuated in the middle of the night and more than 50 of them were sent to the hospital. >> i just wanted to get my kids out. that's it. i was worried about them. i don't want them to get sig or anything. scary. >> scared indeed. those residents spent a second night away from home. the chemical is highly flammable and its fumes could contain cyanide. most of the people were treated for respiratory problems. >> there's finally a record breaking settlement in the gulf oil spill fik years ago. bp will pay $18.7 billion to cover all claims from the worst offshore oil spill in u.s. history. florida is one of five states involved and been receive more than any state more than $3 billion starting early next year. >> a little more than five years

that car you see right there burning along i-95 in jacksonville, florida, early yesterday morning, the driver still inside. luckily for him, a truck driver named julian was driving by. he then forced the door open, dragged that driver to safety. the driver was hospitalized with serious injuries. kazer says he's not a hero and that he did what anyone else would do, too. incredible he was there.
