begins in arlington county. black is charged with fatally shooting his estranged wife bonnie black at her home in south arlington last year. the couple's two children - age's three and five - discovered the body. a friend of bonnie black told investigators david had taken money from her, forged checks and made threatening statements against her. a former school bus aide in prince

sex abuse and assault is due in court in just a few hours. 38-year old michael patopie is accused of molesting two young children with special needs on a school bus. the alleged incidents happened last novemeber and this past may. prosecutors say security cameras captured part of what happened. this morning -- a growing vigil in los angeles. dozens of mourners gathering to pay respects to the 13 people killed in a horrific bus crash in palm springs early sunday. candles now burn at the sight where friends and family members were to 31 others were injured when the bus slammed into the back of a semi-truck. the n-t-s-b is now investigating. officials say the bus was traveling at such a high rate of speed it smashed 15 feet into the trailer. we do know the bus passed safety inspections in each of the last three years. but it's unclear whether drugs, alcohol or fatigue were factors. you could call it the leaning tower of san francisco. coming up - the mystery happening

university police with a warning about a fake call. police say scammers called a student and

the parents got a call saying their son would be killed if money was not wired to the caller. at the same time - the student got a call saying his father would be killed if he did not pay up. the student quickly went to a nearby store to wire the money and was found by police a short time later. no one was injured in the incident, but a significant amount of money was wired to the scammers. some women in barrington, rhode island are fighting back.. against a letter to the editor of a local paper. the letter criticized women who wear yoga pants. alan sorrentino wrote.. "they do nothing to compliment a woman over 20-years-old." and he said women should stop wearing them in public. in response.. more than 300 women took part in a yoga pants parade yesterday. they marched past sorrentino's house.

overnight in montgomery county. a party in germantown, turning violent.

man was stabbed. the suspect then stole a car and took off. officers eventually found the stolen car and tried stop it. the suspect jumped out and tried to run but police eventually caught him. police say the man that was stabbed is in critical condition. the name of the suspect has not been released. also overnight - another stabbing, this one in annapolis. anne arundel county police were called for a disturbance on annapolis neck road near forest drive. one of the stabi few blocks away on hillsmere drive -- outside a shopping center and laundromat. both victims were taken to shock trauma, but still no word on their conditions. an r-v promoting the legalization of marijuana caused huge backups when it caught fire on the delaware memorial bridge. it was filled with pot-scented candles when it went up in smoke around 6 o'clock last night. the company weed world candles confirms the r-v was

able to get the sky high blaze under control. nobody was injured in the fire. developing now.. d-c police... forced to arrest one of their own, while he was on the job. it started with a citizen's complaint early sunday morning about officer arthur thompson. when a supervisor went to investigate, he smelled alcohol. thompson failed field sobriety tests. neighbors say no one is above the law. thompson, who has been on the force for 4 years, was arrested and charged with being under the influence, while on duty. his police powers were revoked, and the officer is under investigation by the internal affairs department. an attempted robbery took a terrible turn late

beaten and set on fire by two men who tried to rob him. the man was walking home from 14th street and otis place after partying with friends when the two men demanded his money. he was beaten and set on fire when he said he didn't have any cash. the man suffered third degree burns but is expected to recover. police are searching for the men this morning -- but so far no arrests. d.c. police are also trying to find out who fired shots at some homes and cars. it happened over the weekend in northwest d.c.'s at least three homes and two cars are damaged. sharon cook was celebrating her birthday, when bullets hit her window. no one was hurt in any of the incidents. but the shootings have residents nervous and concerned.
