bush was also hospitalized with fatigue but as a precaution the couple recently celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary. more than 50 lawmakers have been vocal about refusing to attend the inauguration. so is it historic defiance- or a common protest? coming up - why tomorrow's boycott is dividing democrats... - another mild day;

logistics firms. the department of agriculture has a 140 billion dollar budget and oversees the nation's farm policy and food stamp program. at least one cabinet nominee is getting the thumbs up from lawmakers. on wednesday the senate armed services committee overwhelmingly approved the president-elect's pick for defense secretary, retired marine general james mattis. the appointment now goes to the full senate for a vote. new developments, regarding shots being fired at homes in prince william county, virginia.. there have been nearly two dozen incidents since last january. and police are investigating another one. officers were called to belleplain court in dumfries tuesday night to investigate a destruction of property call. the homeowner discovered a bullet in an interior wall. police say the shot was fired sometime between friday.. and tuesday. no injuries were reported. a similar incident is under investigation in fairfax county. it happened tuesday afternoon, in a townhouse on clover field circle in herndon. a woman was

62-hundred national guard personel from 44 states. each guard will be able to detain, but not arrest. and they will not carry a side arm. more than three thousand guardsmen will be sworn in to their inauguration duties in a special ceremony at nine this morning at fedex field. and at the stadium armory - thousands more officers officially beginning their inauguration duties. law enforcement agencies from outside the city will be sworn in this afternoon. this year more than three thousand officers from more than 200 departments will serve with d-c police. toss back to anchors
