immigration are making their voices heard. they took part in a rally last night outside the supreme court. and they were joined by a large group of protesters. earlier in the day, minority leader chuck schumer sought a vote on legislation, reversing the order. but senate republicans blocked that effort. democrats are now calling on president trump to change his mind. president trump's executive order suspends immigration for citizens of seven majority-muslim countries for 90 days. the white house says the temporary ban is intended to keep americans safe. the acting attorney general - not the only one out of a job. on monday night - president trump also announcing another change.

immigrations and customs enforcement was replaced by thomas homan. homan is an ice agent famous for his deportation record. ragsdale was not fired. he will remain with theepartment as a deputy director. today - president trump will announce his pick for a new supreme court justice. the court has been down a justice since antonin scalia's death almost a year ago. that announcement from president trump is expected around eight tonight. we;ll break down the presidents final three contenders - coming up at 5:30. another great escape from the national zoo. this time - a bobcat breaking free from it's enclosure. the search happening now in rock creek park, coming up.

zoo officials say she may be in nearby rock creek park. they're not "actively" searching for her.. because they think that will scare her away. instead, they're hoping to entice her back with treats. bobcats are not known to be aggressive. but zoo officials are advising people not to approach ollie if they see her. instead.. contact the zoo. boy scouts of america is now accepting transgender boys into its ranks. instead of relying on the gender listed on a child's birth certificate... cub scouts and boy scouts will now use the gender listed on a child's application. a ban on openly gay scouts was lifted in 20-13... with a ban on gay troop leaders ending two years later. we are knee deep in tax filing season... but a quick refund may be a thing of the past. john matarese shows us why... so you dont waste your money. 0-12 136-144

streets of los angeles. police chased a reckless driving suspect for miles, before she crashed her car while running a light at an intersection. after the crash the suspect surrendered to police. we expect to learn new information today about a deadly shooting inside a gas station in district heights. the gunfire broke out just after five last night at the station along walters lane. a man was killed. prince george's county police say they will release the victim's name later today. metro leaders getting an earful from riders during an hour's long public hearing monday night. some train and bus riders are outraged that metro is raising fares and cutting service in an effort to make up a 290-million dollar budget shortfall for the 2018 fiscal year. metro leaders say

efforts to improve safety and service while repairing crumbling infrastructure. the budget can still be changed and once passed - takes effect in july. good news to report about former president george h-w-bush. the 41st president is home from a houston hospital. he received treatment for pneumonia for more than two weeks. the 92-year-old says he is thankful for the prayers and kind messages he's received -- and for "world-class care" from doctors and nurses. happening today - president trump will announce his pick for a new supreme court justice. and sources say that list is down to three final contenders. all three are young, george w. bush appointees who currently serve on seperate circuits of the u-s court of appeals. the two front-runners are judges neil gorsuch and thomas hardiman.

choice for any republican president and expected to have similar principles as the late justice antonin scalia. hardiman is a solid conservative who was active in republican politics before joining the federal bench. the third choice - william pryor is still in the running but is fading, according to people familiar with the search process. all three met with trump in new york during the transition period. the president will announce his final pick at eight o'clock tonight. new developments regarding the prince george's county liquor board.. county executive rushern baker is calling for new legislation that would dramatically strenghen oversight of the board. he wants control shifted from the state to the county, in order to reduce corruption. earlier this month, the fbi raided the liquor board. two board officials and two liquor store owners were arrested. charges against them include conspiracy and bribery. under baker's proposal, the county executive, not the governor, would appoint the liquor board members. the county co

identified the navy seal killed during a weekend raid targeting al-qaeda in yemen. 36-year-old william "ryan owens" is from peoria, illinois but lived in virginia beach. three other u-s servicemembers were wounded in the raid. 14 militants were reportedly killed. the raid was authorized under the obama administration and given the green light by president trump.

swim coach betsy lavin was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis eight years ago. she wanted to reassure one of her children she was ok. so last january she told him she would swim a million yards.. 568 miles.. by the end of the year. and she did. her children and their teammates cheered her on.
