happening right now in prince george's county. police say a man was shot multiple times overnight at a gas station. this all happened at the exxon on silver hill road in suiltand. the victim was pronounced dead on the scene. so far no word on a possible suspect. and in montgomery county.. flames ripping through a rockville home. suzanne kennedy is live at the scene - ? now to breaking news from chicago.. a manhunt
two police officers are shot. sam sweeney is at the live desk. larry, chicago police believe this was a targeted attack. right now we know both of those officers are in serious but stable condition at the hospital. chicago police say the plainclothes officers were in a high crime neighborhood on the city's south side when suspects in two vehicles pulled up alongside them and began firing. the officers were shot in the exchange. they also returned fire. one officer was hit in the arm and hip. the other officer was shot in the back. police believe they may have been targeted.

suspect leading to an arrest. last night in boston, orioles center fielder adam jones recieved a standing ovation from the red sox crowd just one day after he heard racial taunts from fans. before the game, red sox team officials met apologized to jones on behalf of the organization and assured him they are taking steps to prevent monday's incident from happening again. the red sox say they have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to racial slurs, but to enforce it the team relies on fans reporting intolerant behavior.

that was caputured on video as well... a terrifying couple minutes in the streets of dc. and this morning, a mother -- risking her life to save children. life to save children. monday evening -- shots rang out at 13th and "g" streets southeast. that's right by potomac garden apartment on capitol hill. police say three men got out of their car, and opened fire -- about 30 shots in all. that's when the mother shielded her children with her body, and hoped for the best. the men were said to have

rouge, amid reports that may not happen in the shooting death of alton sterling. sam sweeney is following the new developments at the live desk. there are reports the justice department could announce as early as today- that it has decided not to bring charges against two white baton rouge police officers... who shot and killed sterling. last night, a vigil outside the convenience store -- where he died in july of last year. the 37-year-old was selling homemade cd's outside that convenience store at the time. the incident was captured on cellphone video and sparked protests in louisana -- and around the country. sterling's family is heartbroken over the news. a po
saw the butt of a gun in one of sterling's pants pockets and saw him try to reach for it before he was shot. we do want to point out -- the governor of louisiana says his office has not been notified of any federal decision in this investigation. we're also closely watching new developments in dallas ... where a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed by a police officer over the weekend. this morning - police are changing thier story. the teen was riding in a car after a house party when he was shot. on monday the department said the vehicle was agressively backing down the street, to be used as a weaopon. now, they've backtracked, saying body camera footage shows the car was actually driving away from police. the officer has been fired.
