happened. witnesses phoned 9-1-1 early sunday after they say 17 year old nabra hassanen was attacked. she was walking with friends to mcdonalds to break their ramadan fast, when they got into a dispute with a driver. nabra was later found dead at a pond in sterling. police say 22 year old darwin torres was arrested nearby, and is now charged with her murder. supporters for nabra have set up a donation found for her family on "launch-good" dot com. it's already raised more 75-thousand dollars to help cover her funeral costs. in the district-- there are no suspects or motives after a quadruple shooting in southeast. the bullets went flying just before two a-m sunday morning on buena vista terrace. police tell us two men and two women suffered non-life threatei

they asking for any information that might lead to a gunman. happening today-- three suspects charged in the brutal murder of two montgomery county teens-- are due in court for a bail hearing. police announced the arrests of three men over the weekend... and revealed the motive was likely revenge. investigators say it's rumored shaddi najjar committed a drug-related robbery... and stole an ipad from one of the suspects' girlfriend. then najjar and artem ziberov were lured to their death, when najjar went to sell a graduation ticket. but najjar's parents... don't buy it. najjar's dad says he has no mercy and plans to see the case to the end. ziberov's parents are heading to russia on tuesday for his funeral. an update now on the ballpark ambush that wounded several people including louisiana congressman steve scalise. doctors say the house majority whip underwent another

condition has been updated from "critical" to "serious". representative scalise was shot in the hip when a gunman opened fire on congressional republicans during a baseball practice. congressman scalise was feeling well enough to watch some baseball on tv saturday night. his accounted tweeted this message saturday night, saying he was rooting on his lsu tigers in the college world series. meanwhile-- life is slowing returning to normal in the alexandria community rocked by the shooting last week. police say simpson field, the site of the shooting, will reopen later today. officials will hold a small re-opening ceremony this evening. the field has been closed since the shooting on wednesday morning, as police investigated. coming up-- new details about a deadly navy collision, that claimed the lives of several sailors including a man from maryland. still ahead-- why the damage is even worse than it looks. plus, a weather alert morning in our area. but it's not just the heat that you need to watch out for. meteorologist veronica johnson will tell us what is heading this way.. when we come back.

assault trial ends in a mistrial. after more than 50 hours of deliberations, jurors remained deadlocked. that prompted the judge to declare a mistrial. shortly afterward, the district attorney issued a statement -- saying that cosby's victory will not last long. the district attorney says he
