the twister tracked through silver spring for about a thousand feet with winds up to 70 miles an hour. several homes were damaged and power was knocked out to more than 30 thousand people. pepco says service has been restored. one man says his home was spared any damage, but when he looked outside he realized his car wasn't as fortunate. two neighbors in silver spring were treated for minor injuires after a tree fell on their house. that building is no longer safe enough to enter. we'll have more in a live report from the scene - coming up at 5:30. new developments in the murder of a 17-year-old girl muslim from reston. this morning - police say the assault was an act of road rage. but many who new "nabra hassanen" wonder if it was something else.. suzanne kennedy is live with more. the alexandria baseball field... turned federal

calling the death of u-v-a student otto warmbier a murder. and they say the u.s. should respond forcefully. the cincinnati native was imprisoned in north korea for 17 months. he returned home last week in a coma, with a severe brain injury. he died yesterday. north korean officials claim warmbier contracted botulism after taking a sleeping pill. his family isn't buying that. secretary of state rex tillerson says the u.s. holds north korea accountable for what he calls warmbier's unjust imprisonment. he's demanding the release of the three other americans detained in that country. a 100-thousand dollar reward is part of a new push to close a cold case in prince george's county. detectives and postal inspectors, fanned out across a landover

we are now learning carrie fisher had taken a cocktail of illegal drugs in the days before she died - including cocaine, heroin, and ecstasy - that according to the los angeles county coroner. they can't say for sure whether or not the drugs contributed to her death - and the official cause is listed as being related to sleep apnea and cardiac arrest. she died in december at age 60. everyone is still talking about the birth of beyonce and jay-z's new twins, but when will finally get to see a picture of these kids, here is jimmy kimmel from last night right here on abc 7 bob barker is ok
