the condition of representative steve scalise, after he is readmitted to the intensive care unit. the lousiana congressman was shot in the hip during the ballpark ambush in alexandria last month. 6 people were injured before the shooter was shot and killed by police. representative scalise is currently listed in serious condition, amid new concerns about possible infection. we are expecting another update later today. also happening today-- president donald trump kicking off his visit to europe. the white house is hoping for a warm welcome to start the trip in poland, before what could be a chilly reception in germany for the g-20 summit. abc's emily rau has the latest from northwest washington. president trump and the first lady arrived in warsaw, along with jared kusnher and first daughter ivanka. it was a red carpet welcome for a visit expected to be short but sweet- beata sot:

korea's largest trading partners. u-s military officials say the missile tested this week flew 17 hundred miles, meaning could attack alaska if it desired. we are learning more details this morning about the former charles county public school employee accused of sexually assaulting children -- all while he had h-i-v. carlos bell is accused of assaulting ten children. bell has worked at four charles county public schools since 20-13. he's also been employed as contractor that taking care of kids before and after school. and just last spring he volunteered as an assistant coach for a track team. his arrest is leaving a community on edge. bell is accused of sexually assaulting

boys and producing child porn at his home and at the middle school where he worked as an aide. happening today-- a maryland woman charged in the disappearence of her two children-- will be back in court. catherine hoggle is due to appear for a status hearing this morning. the rockville woman has been ruled "still not competent" to stand trial for kidnapping her 3-year-old daughter sarah and 2-year-old son jacob in 2015. the children have not been seen since. since her arrest 2 years ago, hoggle hae been undergoing treatment at a mental health facility. also happening today-- the man charged with briging an arsenal of weapons to the trump hotel will be back in court. last friday, a judge denied a motion to release "bryan moles". prosecutors say he drove from his pennsylvania home to the district back in may, with a military style rifle. he pleaded not guilty and has been ordered to have a mental evaluation. a congressman responding after backlash to this video. what he sys

the incident was caught on video. mother maria amador was praying, when the man approached her. she says he told her, quote.. karma for a car thief in new mexico. police say she was not caught by officers, she was caught by a sink hole. take a look. firefighters say they arrived on the scene, and found the car at the bottom of a huge hole in the road. the driver was ok, but fled before the tow truck arrived. police say that was because it wasn't her car-- it was stolen. the actual owners say they hope the thief is uninjured. as for the car-- that's what insurance is for. there is much more ahead on good morning washington. sam sweeney.. what are you working on for 5 o'clock?
