democratic lawmakers seen leaving the kalorama home of ivanka trump and jared kushner. according to politico - the president's daughter was hosting a bi-partisan dinner on tax reform. democratic senators joe manchin, heidi heitkamp and claire mccaskill were all on the guest list. all three are up for reelection next year in states where president trump is popular. this morning - the president is once again is blaming local officials in puerto rico... for problems with the disaster response. the president saying that while the military is distributing food and water -- it's something they quote "shouldn't have to be doing." it was all part of a long news conference, in the rose garden monday afternoon covering many topics.

man who started the movement. former quarterback kolin kaepernick claims the league and owners colluded to keep him unemployed because he took a knee during the anthem. last month, the debate intensified when president trump lashed out at n-f-l players who joined the protest. today, the owners will meet to discuss the protests and league policy moving forward. in a rare move... some players and their union reps have been invited to attend. more than a week after the wildfires broke out in calfifornia - around 100 people are still missing. but there is some good news. a break in the weather is helping get some of the fires under control. for the first time in days there are no red flag warnings in the entire state. meanwhile, more people displaced have been told they can go home. in sonoma county.. evacuation orders have been lifeted for two neighborhoods in santa rosa. more than 40 people were killed by the wildires. most of the dead were in sonoma county. video of an outburst by an office manager at brentwood animal hospital is going viral. and as a result, the pri

missing. seven people were hurt, three critically -- in a "sonic boom"... that shook homes miles away. it's believed cleaning chemicals ignited on the platform. so far, there's no evidence of an oil spill. new details this morning on the chaos inside a florida nursing home on the day several patients died following hurricane irma. hollywood police released 911 calls made by employees on september 13. just hours after irma hit - the nursing home lost it's air conditioning. staffers inside panicked - as many of the patients dealt with sweltering heat. in all 14 people died. florida officials have suspended the nursing's home license in the wake of the deaths. the facility is now

criminal investigation. to the crisis in the caribbean now- and the governor of puerto rico- sharing more about the road to recovery after hurricane maria. right now - only 15 percent of the island has power. 95 percent of it - won't be back until mid-december. clean drinking water is in short supply. raw sewage has been pouring into several rivers and reservoirs - and some contaminated water has seeped into the drinking supply. chef jose andres is still helping in puerto rico. andres, who has a number of restaurants in the d-c area, tweeted that they're now serving up 100 thousand meals a day in san juan the chefs are now moving into other cities in the hurricane battered island as more planes carrying food are brought in. this morning - california is cracking down on pet stores. a new law will force stores to sell only rescue animals. it's designed to cut down on abuse at puppy mills and kitten factories, where animals are often bred in horrible conditions. california is the first state to pass this type of law. the changes take effect

"unpatriotic." the arizona republican made the remarks last night, after receiving the national constitution center's liberty medal in philadelphia. he criticized those who, quote.. north korea. during a 90 minute session in greenbelt - a u-s district judge heard from immigrant rights groups urging him to put the ban on hold. he did not rule in the case. in florida - governor rick scott has declared a state of emergency ahead of an appearance by white nationalist richard spencer at the university of florida thursday. many have already called on the school's president to cancel the speaking engagment. one anti-fascist group has planned to protest the event. both sides have talked on social media about using violence. at least 500 police officers are expected to be on hand. a new report out this morning finds that self-driving cars could reduce traffic time! this - according to findings by the boston consulting group. researchers used computer simluations of downtown boston traffic with self-driving taxis, buses and private cars. they found traffic times would likely go down.. but the number of cars on the road will simultaneously go up. d-c is pitching four sites in its bid for amazon's second headquarters.
