sign up for coverage under the affordable care act. and if you're in virginia -- it's your deadline too. but maryland is extending sign-ups another week to december 22nd. and d-c's open enrollment lasts until january 31st. federal data shows so far -- enrollment is up about 17 percent this year. this morning.. for the first time we are hearing from the father of tina frost - the maryland woman shot in the head in the las vegas massacre. frost will be home for the holidays after leaving an inpatient rehab facility. last night a fundraiser was held in anne arundel county to support her long road to a full recovery. and her father says having her home is nothing short of a miracle. a go fund me for a go fund me for tina has raised

dollar since that shooting. happening now -- charles county police trying to find the person who shot a man to death. sky trak seven over the area where he was found last night on holly avenue at spruce street. that's in waldorf. police tell us a dark car took off from that scene - but there's no description of the driver. the search is widening for three serial burglary and robbery suspects. we first showed you this video thursday morning. now investigators believe the men are not only responsible for recent crimes in d.c -- but also two thefts at t-mobile stores in prince george's county. police say the men appear to be older than 45. the suspects have stolen tens of thousands of dollars in clothing, phones, and jewelry. if you have any information, please contact police. developing now in southeast-- a former aide at a school for children with disabilities is out of a job -- after allegedly taking a video of a student undressing!

recording that video of a special needs child in the school bathroom and posting it to snapchat! now we're learning -- the student is in a wheel chair, has multiple disabilities and is in need of a feeding tube! she is assigned two aides to help her around. garris says she recorded the video because she wanted to document her stressful day, using the caption, "wanna go home." school officials immediately fired her when they learned of the situation. developing news now out of charlottesville -- charges upgraded against the driver accused of killing a counter-protester during at a white nationalist rally. "james fields" is now charged with first degree murder. he's accused of hitting heather heyer with his car in august. fields is also charged with hitting more than a dozen other people. he faces 40 years in prison. the wildfires in california -- now

sexual abuse will be sentenced. prosecutors say bilal ahmed sexually abused five former patients and one former employee. and they say he physically assaulted another employee. the government is asking for an 18-and-a-half year prison term. some victims are expected at today's sentencing. two law enforcement officers hit and killed along i-270 last week were laid to rest yesterday. a private funeral for fbi agent carlos wolff was held at a church in gaithersburg. a public funeral for fire marshal sander cohen took place at a rockville synagogue. maryland governor larry hogan recalled a chance encounter with cohen last year. while cohen's boss --- the state fire marshal --- broke down in tears. maryland state

police are still investigating why a germantown man didn't see both men or their two cars. a big step toward ending "net neutrality." the f-c-c voted to end the obama-era rule that said all internet traffic must be treated equally. now -- internet service providers would have a free hand to slow or block web sites and apps as they see fit. they'd also be able to charge more for faster speeds. republicans call it a fair-market approach. democrats disagree. it could take months for today's decision to go into effect. several state attorneys general plan to sue, to try to keep it from happening at all. if you're unclear on what net neutrality means for you, providers and web sites-- seven's on your side to help explain.

that. covering metro -- here's something riders want to hear-- free wi-fi service is now available at 30 underground rail stations. it was only available at six underground stations before yesterday. it should be offered system-wide by the middle of next year. this supplements cellular service -- which is already available at all stations. and good news for your new years eve celebration - metro trains will run late. service will run until two a-m... with no scheduled maintenance. on new years day - the rail system will only be open from eight a-m through 11 p-m. parking at the stations will be free - and off-peak fares in effect. happening today in hyattsville.. families in need will get a big boost for the holidays. the hispanic national law enforcement association along with the united black police officers association will pass out food baskets and other donations to help families in need. starting in about 45 minutes -- families can come to the la chiquita restaurant on university boulevard to pick up baskets. baskets will be

battling the thomas fire still burning in southern california. adrianna hopkins at the live desk with the heartbreaking update. the firefighter is identified as 32-year-old cory iverson -- an 8 year veteran of cal fire. there are still few details on how he died -- but fire officials say iverson and his team were engaged with an active part of the fire near fillmore, california. an accident review team is investigating his death. he's survived by his pregnant wife and 2-year-old daughter. this is the second death linked to the fire. a 70-year-old woman
