they have finalized the question for the ballot. the fight against the nexus pipeline heads into another round tonight with a final public hearing. companies behind the proposed pipeline across ohio want to build a station in southern medina county. that -- medina county keeps things flowing. the epa is expected to rule the required permits later this year. the hearing is tonight at 5:00 at wadsworth high. a strike could mean up to 4300 educators picketing from 100 schools.

these businesses, crashing in there and taking the atms. according to papers, the theft happened in cities, cleveland, mentor, coming up at 11:00 this morning, we're expected to get a briefing from cleveland police and what they're calling a multiagency sting here. coming up in the next half hour, i'm letting you know what comes next for the suspect as the case moves forward. live in downtown cleveland, tiffany tarpley, channel 3 >> all right. tiffany, thanks. >> topping your morning news feed. mexican authorities say the son of the jail lord el chapo was taken in a mass kidnapping. the kidnappers were armed and abducted six people at once from a restaurant at a beach resort. the victims were partying when the gunman burst inside the restaurant early monday morning. authorities are struggling to remember all the victim who is may belong to cartels and use

people have died in historic flooding. at least 40,000 homes have been damaged or destroyed. residents in some parishes have started cleaning up. more than 20,000 have been rescued from the flood waters. officials say this mess will take months to clean up. the federal government has stepped in to help. >> singer songwriter taylor swift also stepped in to help. she's donating $1 million to louisiana flood relief. the the associated press on tuesday was told that louisiana residents gave her a warm welcome when she began her world tour last year. in a statement, she says, it is heart breaking to see people forced out of their own homes and sends out love and prayer. it was another big day in rio for team usa. let's get you caught up on some

earlier around canton. still a few spotty sprinkles and the western part of star county, but it's pretty uneventful. that could change at any point today. these dew points are still well into the 60s and close to 70 degrees. it means this is humid. with temperatures in the low 80s for highs, it makes a difference. it's a lot more tolerable. yes we had the breeze. that also made a difference. winds much, much lighter today. here is a look at future view. we track th this takes us into the afternoon. this snapshot is 2:30 today. we're seeing scattered showers from mansfield, akron, canton. still pretty quiet around cleveland. looks like we could see some scattered showers for the lake shore counties maybe into early evening. and we'll continue to see those chances into tonight. they fade as they have been. it looks like a pretty similar setup for your thursday. we'll have sunshine. we'll have showers. so when do we finally see a

highways. cleveland police, they're still asking you to avoid east 115 shaker boulevard because of an overnight fatal crash. again, no reroutes because of that. now we move to summit county. those of you who take 76 west, yes, more closures in akron. this time a project on 76 west will reduce two lanes between britain and arlington well as britain road to 76 west. i have limited time in my traffic report. i'm going to have to say the detour to 5:43. stick around. i'm going to tweet them out at dani at morning news feed time now. new details as the aclu is calling for release from the video of the officer-involved shooting in milwaukee. that prompted violence on the

any troubles on the road? >> we're talking about the construction that's going on in summit county. i wasn't able to give you the detours around some of these ramp closures. they're reduced to two lanes between britain road and these restrictions are not in place until august 24th. that ramp is closed because these bridge repairs. use arlington street to get around that one. adecisional ramps, the britain ramp is closed because of the same bridge repair project. state route 18 east market street to third avenue where you can access 76 west. your last ramp closure is invasion way to 76 westbound. you guys, i'm going to be tweeting out all of these detours for you. don't worry about the graphic.
