white maserati plowed to them. he lost control of the car and barrelled in to the shops. there were no injuries to the businesses and the driver is expected to be okay. a bb gun bandit is shooting sedge and ridge road is where it happened. investigators are looking at videos and residents are asked activity. a teenager stabbed during a massive fight. this video shows the melee on monday afternoon. a group of teens ganging up on one kid, punching and kicking him to the ground. you see another pummelled, as well. one of them was stabbed in the leg with a box cutter. two teenagers were arrested and parents are asked to take action. >> bring your child forward. if you don't, you are sending the message the act they committed was okay. >> another victim was punched in the face.

are staggering dismissals so students wto r won't gather in large crowds. a police officer is under fire not for what he did but for what he allegedly said. news 4's gus rosendale is in passaic where 100 people gathered demanding the officer to be fired. >> hundreds of people rallied outside of passaic city hall tonight. they want tougher discipline for a city police officer accused of uttering racist comments at a facebook video that's getting a lot of attention in this community. >> we're here to provide for our families and we're not leaving. >> reporter: jasmine and her boyfriend say they were on the porch with their friend when an officer approached them, allegedly used foul language and made threats about calling immigration. that's when they hit record on the phone. >> i'm going to knock on the door and add your mom and dads i.d. and your cousins and i am going to have immigration pick

>> reporter: in passaic, gus rosendale, news 4 new york. a congressman is looking in to whether the first two women to become rangers were given special training. it came to representative steve russell's attention after one said they had easier tasks at forth ft. benning. an army spokesperson insists everyone went through the same vigorous tests. sign tilss have discovered a new virus that can be transmitted through the blood supply but no idea if it is harmful. they tested blood taken from 46 people from '74 and '80. they found the virus in two samples. both patients appeared to have cleared the virus and there's no evidence it caused disease. new york city ban on styrofoam containers has been overturned. the judge ruled it was excessive and contrary to the commissioners claims the plastic

dramatic video. a scary encounter off the coast of california. this kay yakker had to be wishing he had a bigger boat. video from a gopro-pro camera shows a fisherman fending off a hammer head shark. this happened over the weekend. and you can see him hitting the shark with his oar as the shark circles the kayak and comes back. the battle lasted 15 minutes. the fisherman said he hit the shark 20 times before it gave up and swam away. >> i think when he hit the shore, the shark was still looking at him. like come out and play. one lobster's lucky day. in new hampshire, restaurants kept it from ending up on the dinner table and this is why. they spotted a rare blue lobster while sorting through a large case of the crustaceans. the odds of making this kind of catch are one in two million.

[ light laughter ] i saw that top congressional leaders sent a statement to the house and senate with guidelines for pope francis's visit, including a request to not shake his hand. apparently they're worri that if politicians touch the pope they'll burst into flames.
