that's good news on the trails. i'm starting to see delays. the ramp is shut down because of an overturned vehicle. it is a slow go on the span. we'll take a live look outside. we could look at the brooklyn bridge again. there are delays right now because of construction. there you go. there they are. process of clearing it. we'll have weather and traffic coming up on the 4s. a woman missing for hours was found dead overnight. her body was discovered in a marsh. >> reporter: police trying to determine whether that woman is a victim of foul play. investigators have been out here.

the woman's body was found near 161st avenue off of the belt parkway at about 11:00 last night. this is hours after she went missing. police say that the 30-year-old went out for a jog and she never returned home. they didn't hear from her and called police. her body found later by a relative. neighbors say they are saddens to hear about what happened. >> i didn't how it happened was very shocking and heartbreaking. >> reporter: again, it's not clear how the woman died. all police are saying right now at this point is that the death is under investigation. again, detectives have been out here. they are still out here and we'll continue to follow this story. back to you. >> okay. thank you very much. we are hoping to learn more about a woman found dead in a quiet neighborhood in queens.

found on her body. we are told she had cuts on her face, head and arms. they believe she may have been dead for quite some time. they have not released her name. they say she was in her 60s. a gunman robbed a man in the bronx early yesterday. police say the suspect walked up to the 40-year-old man at archer and beach avenues and hit him in the face with a gun. man's wallet. anyone with any information is asked to call crime stoppers. >> happening today as well, new york's attorney general takes aim at companies trying to cash in on fears over the zika virus. it is to alert new yorkers about deceptive advertising. they will be picking up mosquito traps look for any sign of the

welcome back. morning. police used a row boat to rescue a dog. he ran off from united airlines pet transport dodging traffic and racing through parking lots. airport policemanaged to catch up to him. he got stuck into a muddy marsh.

parkway. she had gone out far jog yesterday afternoon. her family concerned called police and reported her missing. authorities as well as family members began searching this area near her home. her body found hours later by a relative in this weeded area by 161st avenue. it's not clear yet how she died but neighbors here are rattled. >> i'm really shaken up i have two daughters of my own, you know? it's a parent's nightmare to have your parents knocking on your door and finding this out, you know? >> reporter: police tell us there were no bvious signs of trauma. her death still under investigation. detectives are searching for any little bit of evidence. >> thank you. new this morning police looking for a gunman who robbed

the man walked up to a 40-year-old at archer and beach avenues and hit him in the face with a gun. you can see the thief stealing away. any information asked to call crime stoppers. crews have begun tearing down a building. it shows them knocking down top of a building overnight. they heard reports of several passers by. a woman next door was told to evacuate as a precaution. >> it is an old building. it is going to go down. things get old, they fall down, that's it. >> the cause of the collapse is under investigation. >> coming up on 5:34. we check in with chris.

dead after being shot multiple times inside of the believe beauty spa. according to police sources that man actually came here earlier in the day demanding money from the salon's owner. he then left but came back with two other men demanding money again. with the shop's owner nowhere in sight hetr times. no one was injured in connection to this case. again, crime scene detectives still on the scene hours later combing this area for evidence that could lead them to his killer. >> thank you very much. new york city police commissioner, bit bratton will be stepping down from the nypd. james o' neil takes over next

it was on its way to dubai from india. popular queens super market is up in flames. it broke out around 158th street. more than 100 firefighters were called in to battle the smoke and flames. right now the cause of that fire is unknown. police are investigaing if the death of a five month old the parents told police they took the baby to a priest by ridding her of the evil eyes. they say the ritual involved rolling the girl back and forth on the floor. a man killed by police will

was found near 78th street and howard beach. we have been reporting from there all morning long. so many questions about how this tragedy happened. >> reporter: in deed, so many questions. the body was found here in this marshy area behind me. she had gone out far jog yesterday afternoon but she never came home. police and reported her missing. they began searching this area. her body found in this weeded area near 78th street. it is not clear how she died but neighbors are shocked and saddened to hear of the discovery. a family friend described her as a beautiful woman who worked at a near by lounge.
