grounded flights are starting to take off that the headaches are just beginning for delta passengers impacted by a global computer glitch. learned a late-night house fire that injured a firefighter and person inside was intentionally set. the house caught fire on ramsay street just before 11 o'clock sunday night. the person in the house is okay but was treated for smoke inhalation. the firefighter has been released from the hospital after being treated for burn injuries. police have taken over the investigation.

kings grant community. a neighbor gave us this amazing video. we are told the homeowner suffered serious burns. authorities rushed to the scene after getting multiple reports of a loud explosion just moments before the fire. no word on what started the fire. thousands of passengers scrambling to make new arrangements after a global computer glitch forced delta airlines to ground all flights early this morning. even though their system is getting back to normal, thousands of travelers remain in limbo due to major delays and cancellations. >> it makes you think about travel and how much work it is to get to another city and other alternatives. >> about 300 flights are canceled so far today. they are asking for travelers to check your flight status before going to the airport.

glitch is being held at the local airport were frustrated passengers spent the better part of the day waiting and waiting in line. we have been there since very early this morning. what does it look like now?>> reporter: it looks better than it did earlier, but that is not saying much. the line used to go all the way to the doors here, but you can see it is still backed up at the check-in counter. it not only is in this area, but it moves all the way around and back again. here is was some customers told us earlier. >> i checked this morning and my flight was on time. >> misery loves company. >> we got no notifications. >> we came 90 minutes before the flight thinking we made good time. >> -- >> reporter: they all walked right into

line snaked around the check-in and looped back all the way to the doors. >> as soon as i came in they told me the systems are down. >> reporter: delta says a power outage in atlanta impacted its computer systems and operations worldwide. they said they were aware of the systems were incorrectly showing flights were on time. >> delta airlines is experiencing system wide computer outage.'s please stand by. >> reporter: far cry from ringing wedding bells for these newlyweds. what is it like to spend the first day of your honeymoon here? >> when you go through the engagement process and planning a wedding, you roll with the punches. this is nothing new. >> reporter: what did you think when you found a this morning the flight was delayed indefinitely? >> we just want to get there.

showers and storms throughout the day. >> good afternoon. as we head throughout the day, we will be looking at mostly cloudy skies. also the potential for a few showers and storms, but will not be widespread until a few more hours from now. let's take a look at the satellite radar. the majority of us are dry. we are seeing more clouds for the virginia border. showers pop-up across portions of moore county. as well as cumberland county. the majority of us dry for the time being, but given a few hours, and we will see more widespread rain and the potential for storms. not expecting anything severe , but we could see some localized

let's get to the temperatures. 84 right now in rolle batch -- raleigh. i expect most of us to stay in the 80s for high this afternoon. 82 x 6 o'clock and in the upper 70s already by 9 o'clock. a good chance for rain then. most of us seeing the rain wrapup by midnight. as we head into the early morning hours of tuesday we should be in the low 70s. i will have the rest of the work week forecast coming up. a raleigh man charged in a deadly weekend shooting is expected in court later this afternoon. the 20-year-old victim died after being shot on singleleaf lane sunday morning. police have charged chad copley with murder. the 39-year-old fired a shotgun from inside his crotch, hitting the victim.

victim. he is due in court today for the arrangement -- arraignment. new charges against a teenager already accused of threatening fellow students last year. deputies say kenneth hawker assaulted his grandmother. is charged with assault. he grabbed his grandmother by her neck and arm and re to the floor. he was suspended from pamper creek high school after being accused of attacking someone in the cafeteria. he was also accused of threatening another student in creating a hitless. donald trump returns to north carolina tomorrow. he will be in wilmington tomorrow morning and have a rally in fayetteville later that evening.

the death toll from a suicide bombing in a pakistan hospital has surged to 60. it happened after the body of a prominent lawyer killed in a shooting earlier in the day was brought to a hospital. nearly 100 lawyers and other people had gathered at the time. a group described as a breakaway faction of the taliban and has claimed responsibility for the attack. a popular water park in kansas city remains close this afternoon as investigators try to piece together what led to a tragic accident. 10-year-old caleb schaub was killed on the waterslide sunday

increase in coverage and intensity heading into the afternoon. we already seen thunder and lightning this morning, and we can see more this afternoon. nothing severe, though. but we could see flooding concerns as the showers move slowly. let's talk about the temperatures. it is 82 right now in durham. 84 in six -- raleigh. clinton 88. 90 in fayetteville. but look at north, ea cooler. factoring in the humidity and sunshine, this is what it feels like. it feels more like 97 in fayetteville. 96 in rayford. here in raleigh it feels more like 91. the afternoon high will be 87, warm and humid with scattered

afternoon. remember if you hear thunder, head inside. 78 at 9 pm this evening. pretty cloudy skies this evening and overnight. as far as the timing of the showers and storms, 1 o'clock just a few, and those continue to increase in coverage. your we are 7 o'clock this evening, scattered showers and storms. by midnight the majority ofs i expect a dry start tomorrow. not a lot of sunshine, but dry conditions. tomorrow afternoon showers and storms once again in the forecast. but we will see more wet weather today. through about 6 pm this evening generally about one quarter of an inch of rain. if you see thunderstorms move more slowly, the rainfall totals can jump up. that is why i was talking earlier about the possibility for localized flooding. through midnight we could

totals. as we head towards tomorrow morning, we will not see a lot added on to the totals. but tomorrow we do expect another round of rain likely in the afternoon. 87 for the high today in raleigh. overnight low 70s. rain showers taper off. we will be pretty cloudy. 87 again tomorrow. near 89 on wednesday. you can see the rain chances tapering off later this work week. and the temperatures will drop. 90 thursday and friday. 90 is where we should be this time of year. we're back into the low 90s over the weekend. isolated shower or storm saturday and better chances for showers sunday.

reach 50%. this new study looked at the average american size over the last 20 years. they found most men have gone from about 170 pounds to up to 200 pounds. and women of god from 152 170 -- one of 50 up to 170. we're just putting on patty matters -- body mass. you have to worry about diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol. all of these things together can impact your health very something called sleep apnea is also a disease that can impact your lungs and heart. it is as simple as working on decreasing your body mass to get rid of these problems in a lot of cases. >> what can we do? >> we have to have a culture of good health. make exercise part of the family routine. the cdc says we only need 150 minutes of vigorous exercise a week, which is not that much.
