cold and sunny sunday. ines has got9 a big story out there. >> yeah, route 78 a mess because of a flipped-over tractor-trailer. jim myth, what's going on? >> ines, we still have the eastbound local lanes closed on route 78 just before exit 52, the garden state parkway. crews are getting those heavy duty tow trucks in place, but in the meantime, all lanes are closed, and the local lanes, all that traffic being forced, cars driving over the curb to get into the excess lanes -- express lanes. there is about a five mile delay. there is also about a two to three mile delay on the westbound side, cars slowing down to take a look. ines, back to you. >> thank you, jim. the rest of your commute, north jersey still route 3 watch out for a crash by the garden state

get communion at st. patrick's. >> they're still kind of chewing this thing over. just came out a couple of hours ago, and it seems to offer a path for divorced people potentially to receive communion in their lives. ben simmoneau is outside st. patrick's on fifth avenue. >> yeah, guys, it's a lot to digest. it's about 250 pages, released this morning by the vatican and, yes, it would seem to indicate that pope francis is opening a path, opening a door that that at some point in the future divorced catholics will, in fact, be able to take communion. that is one big question that has been surrounding pope francis' papacy in the two years or so that he has been at the vatican in charge. will those divorced catholics be allowed? what this document spells out is, basically, the pope is empowering priests in individual parishes to work with couples to kind of find their own path forward.

situation is different but he feels as though, yes, an individual's conscience needs to come into play here. he has already made it easier for catholics to get an lm but he is now calling on priests to work specifically with those divorced catholics to find a path forward so that they may, in fact, be able to take ss thatto be a prize for the perfect, communion is; but, rather, nourishment for the weak. ta s about birth control. the pope saying that couples are the only ones who can make the decision about the appropriate size of their families saying, though, that they make that decision in front of god. be we talked to some folks here, a lot of people here at st. patrick's think the church is moving in the right direction here. have a listen. >> in order for our church to grow and embrace all different people, we do have to extend that hand of compassion. and it's true, all situations
