it's ten pm, do do you know where your children are? right now on "fox 5 news" at ten. >> she went out for a jog and never came back. the medical examiner said she was strangled to death. a vigil just wrapped up to mourn the death of a 30-year-old woman. >> her body was found late last night a few feet away from a jogging jogging path near her home in howard beach. linda spoke with friends and coworkers attending the vigil. she is there with more. reporter: as you both probably know, howard beach is a very tightknit community and these people are heartbroken. people were going to the vigil tonight that was called earlier this afternoon. it started about eight p.m. several people stopped and spoke with us. they told me this entire community is in mourning.

candlelight vigil outside the restaurant where she worked in howard beach. ronnie and susan rosenberg drove from jersey city. they talked about how close they were with her father fell. >> very close. i just don't know what he's going through. our thoughts and prayers are with him. reporter: her and her father jogged together regularly but last night an injury prevented on their regular path along a high weed area in the park. hours later her fathers reported her missing. police use canines in a helicopter in the search. it was her dad who discovered her body. >> there was evidence of strangulation, the creation, hemorrhaging that were looking at and were investigating anybody. reporter: police hung posters offering a $2500 reward for

homes in the neighborhood and from her cell phone. police say she had been texting with a friend while jogging. >> it's just terrible. maybe she was hooked up, maybe she didn't hear someone approaching her from the back. >> you would see someone on any given day on an atv, their bicycle, walking their dogs, jogging whatever. this is not supposed to having. reporter: a few people that we ta vigil did bring up the issue of the homeless here. they did tell me they don't really see the homeless in this park area or in the weeded area. they usually see them on the main streets but that is something some people around here are talking about now that her body has been found. for now that's the latest from here. back to you in the studio. >> thank you linda, just terrible. onto politics where there are reports that the trump campaign is in turmoil. >> it has been one controversy after another for trump.

top to lead the team. we have breaking news tonight. one woman was killed and six others injured from a mass dab in stabbing in london russell square. police arrested one man and they are investigating it as a possible terrorist attack. no word on the condition of the six people who were injured >> federal officials denied they engaged in a cash for hostage deal with iran per the wall street journal reported a plane caring for hundred million dollars arrived in iran the same day four hostages were released per the obama administration when the two countries agreed on a nuclear deal saying it was money they owe the iranian government. a number of republicans have labeled it a ransom payment. >> it was a payment in exchange for the hostages. he may have been a separate agreement or negotiated in its technical details by separate

was my only option. reporter: it's a common birth method in the u.s. one in four babies is born see cesarean. many women described the process as dramatic. >> the original c-sections that we do, they exclude the patient. there's an opaque drape, the patient gets to see the baby momentarily. reporter: that's way the doctor at northern westchester hospital suggested n the incision is the same. what's different is what happens after the baby is delivered. >> we use a clear drape, we tried to get the room set so it's for patient comfort and it's quieter. we put any type of specific music they may request. once the delivery is performed we put the baby i the drape so the mother can hold the baby for a moment.

gentle c-section here after reading about it in the medical journal. since then he has delivered dozens of babies that way and he said the procedure has gotten so popular mothers are now requesting it. >> moms interacting with baby immediately and babies are breast-feeding immediately afterwards. reporter: although cesarean wasn't her first choice as a first-time mom, she said the gentle c-section was as close as it gets to what she had always imagined it would be like to bring her child into the world. >> it's probably the greatest fe i just remember seeing him for the first time and just saying i love you. i had tears in my eyes because you wait so long to meet him and then he's finally here. >> so cute. since gentle c-sections are new, not many hospitals are offering them but doctors say most women are eligible unless she's delivering multiple babies or the infant is in any kind of

concussions. this mom has lived it firsthand. >> my child has a mild concussion in a different sport when he was younger. you know, you have to play smart, you have to listen to what your coaches tell you when they are teaching you the game and you have to hope for the best for the survey also showed 62.3% of 62.3% of parents feel tackle football under age unsafe. another poll shows 78% of americans say it is not appropriate for children to play tackle football before age 14. dr. kathy ward of big apple pediatrics agrees. >> just because their brains are developing all along, any injury that can cause cerebral swelling can be more detrimental to them. >> she claims two or more concussions and have an impact on the child's academics. the brain is actively wired and forming new memories. they are learning many, many new things. the child's brain is much more susceptible. statistically if two or more question concussions you can have a lower grade point average.
