it doesn't mean it's going to happen on a scale 1 to 5. the storm prediction center puts us at one so we're pretty low. the jet streams over us and we got a upper level disturbance in central florida and that creates some twists in the atmosphere so that's what we'll be watching for later today in those storms. for now we've got some sunshine and we're showing you wonder works off of eye dive. you can see the sun rosevilling off the building so we definitely have the time now to enjoy the weather until these storms develop later today. 67 is our current temp. it's going to be a warm afternoon which will also help trigger some of those storms. there's our cold front and then there's our rain, of course, that'll be moving to central florida. the rain chances, if you want to break it down, are a little higher actually to the south of us. about 60% and then about 50% for the rest of us but this will be moving over us later today and then we have another system that moves over central florida tomorrow so the rain stays with us through the weekend, unfortunately, but we have a great payoff on monday.
there's the big storm system and again, some of those storms have kind of deflated as they move across the tampa bay area. the rest of us will actually enjoy a lower 80 scheme and then as i mentioned look at the cooler colder weather that's back across the midsection and out west. all of that is going to spill towards florida as we head into monday so you'll see the extended outlook that's quite a bit different than we've seen here in the last couple of weeks. it's been pretty warm. we'll get probably one more push of cooler temperatures on monday and that's going to be it for another 4/5 months so there goes our cold front and then it'll bring in that cooler weather as we head towards monday and you'll see that here in your forecast coming up but for today, we'll be 82. lots of clouds will be developing. the scattered showers in the forecast about a 50 to 60% chance of the storms. a few of those could be strong. we'll keep an eye those for you. 67, cloudy skies, rain in the forecast this evening at about 40%. there's that extended outlook so not great today or tomorrow. it will not rain all day so
that the storms are out there and it will be headed our way. look at that big payoff, though, on monday. 67. that's probably going to be the last time i can type that until next winter. i don't even when, a long time. so enjoy it while you can, you guys and then warmer after that. all right. here is our weather baby. noah. >> andrea: a cutie. >> meteorologist: i love that little shirt. that's so cute with daddy and he's having -- it looks like he's got a big day ahead of him, whatever he's looking like, it's a great shot. hey, we would love to see your baby. it's so simple to do. all you have to do is head over to our website you'll see our weather baby section and all you do is upload your photo. you'll be like noah and you'll be a superstar. >> andrea: very true. leslie thank you. >> rain is in the forecast making it a perfect backdrop for a day at the movies. fox's jonathan hunt has what's new at the box office. >> those people out there>> reporter: the fan driven blols

>> you would think florida hockey but at the same time with the success of the tampa bay lightning and the florida panthers. >> andrea: yes. >> we've got so many transplants here from the midwest and northeast and a lot of fans that used to follow the team back in the 90s but we've got a great team, high paced. a lot of fun. it's a really reasonable value for families. 13 to $15 per ticket to get into the building so we've had incredible success on weekends. we're always close to, you know, 8, 9,000 in attendance but tonight we really feel like with the first time opening the upper ball we should be able to get to 11, 12,000 so it's exciting. >> andrea: and some of the younger kids here in orlando are playing hockey i imagine it's a big draw, right? >> it is got between the rdv and a number of surrounding ranks hundreds of kids are playing. we know those numbers have gone up incrementally since we've been in town and high school hockey has started and we've got programs in the boys and girls
into the hands of kids and trying to grow our sport and we couldn't be more delighted with the results thus far. >> andrea: so what time will the solar bears play tonight? >> we're going to play at 7:00. we're going to drop the buck we have a lot of exciting things during the game but if all goes well we won 5 out of our last seven. we got to win tonight it's getting close to crunch time with the playoffs looming so it should be fun. >> andrea: what would your dream be? >> you know what? for us it's about communities so foreand foremost giving back in the amount of money tonight is a perfect example with our local military and i think we've donated back about million.8 back in the marketplace since we started up back in 2012 but then it's about family entertainment and having a good time and ultimately for us it's about winning a championship. we want to play into june and pack the amway center, you know, in april, may and june and give our fans, you know, something to cheer about. >> well, fingers crossed. i hope that happens there. jason seigel thanks for joining

somes in tease to finish early ahead of storms and speaking of the weather leslie hudson joins us now with all the details, good morning, leslie. >> meteorologist: good morning to you. they're so smart to actually change that because there is a lot of weather behind me and it is coming to florida. central florida this afternoon so we're starting to see those clouds develop. we did have some sunshine earlier today, now, those clouds are rolling in and it won't be long before the storms actually take over. the rain chances are about 50 to 60% so it is a good likelihood storms today. most of the us should. not everybody will. but there is a better chance tomorrow as another system moves over south florida. l- -- central florida. we got 2 things going on we got a pretty impressive line across the gulf of mexico so there's plenty of moisture to work with and lots of moisture and lightning out there as well. we think this will not be severe weather there's certainly some stronger storms we haven't seen severe weather yet with this system in florida so we're hoping we won't get that today. we had sunshine already and that actually helps trigger the
ripe for stronger storms so we'll keep an eye throughout the day and we'll let you know and again, another system is moving over central florida tomorrow and that keeps the rain chances at about 60%. so here's our towercam over at visit orlando. we've got again some overcast skies there as well. we're going to continue to see those clouds develop and i don't think the sunshine once it's the rest of the day. the winds are out of the southwest and that's what we'll through today. so here eye other storm system cold front actually moves through the forecast tomorrow. this weather all ahead of it, but what is making things a little interesting is that there is an upper level feature something you don't see on this map. it's an upper level lull so that will trigger some rogues and that's why we look for more stronger storms as it moves across the state of today and we'll let you know if anything develops, of course. meanwhile, there's cold air behind that cold front. this will be our last push of cold air. i seen everyone says we go

you run on a regular basis actually heals and cures the depression. >> andrea: as the explain the runners high that we hear about. >> spkr2: >> that's a little bit. it's more of an endorse finish and pick me up when you're regularly running and you don't have to be an athlete or a marathon runner just getting out there and starting a program will rewire the brain. >> andrea: okay. >> in addition the studies also showed when you combined meditation that the changes that happened were more beneficial than doing meditation or running alone. so you combine running and a meditation practice every day, 20 minutes meditating, just trying to quiet the mind and it not only mood but also helps memory and focus. >> andrea: what is it about meditation because everybody braising about it. meditation -- i'm sorry. but it is hard for me to sit still and think of nothing for 30 seconds. >> most of us have busy brain. >> andrea: yeah. >> as a neurologist i teach corporate clients this all the time.

they're already moving in on the west side of marion county. alachua county and just now starting to get in the fringes of sumter so all of this has headed towards central florida. we have sunshine now in the metro areas and we definitely have the clouds in play as well but that sun is still working through. once the sun goes away where you live that's probably going to be it for the rest of today because the clouds are going to overtake and so will the rain once this storm system moves overhead and there's another one coming tomorrow so both days kind of a mixed bag of sunshine, clouds and storms. you can see this big area and all of this is again moving towards central florida so this will be playing out through the next 24 hours so as i zoom in here you can see just as i mentioned to see the western fringes of our viewing area starting to get some of the lighter showers. more of that will continue to push in the metro areas this afternoon and tonight. it will not rain all day but we anticipate this to be around for a couple of hours definitely all the clouds will be overhead as well.
