for crews like this one, it meant making multiple runs to keep the parking lots and sidewalks clear of the snow. they're also keeping an eye on other drivers to make sure that they don't go sliding into them while they worked. it was not an easy task, but they tell me they had to start early or risk having something far worse happen. but it was definitely a challenge to keep up with the falling flakes. andrew johnson, clarion resident: "on and off, it's been light, heavy at times, but for the most part, it's been pretty heavy. it comes back, you might as well just follow your path where you first started." of course, there were still lots of people of course, there were still lots of people who enjoyed the snow. if you're a kid, this is perfect fort building weather. jacob/dmc clarion, like many other schools in the viewing area was schools in the viewing area was schools in the viewing area was ahead of the curve today. they were dismissed early because of teacher conferences. some of the teachers were even allowed to leave early, to stay ahead of the worst of the storm. live in the newsroom, jacob website for

facebook news so we were all a little disappointed but i think it'll be good for us. it's really tough obviously we're disappointed but we'll support what the athletic association thought was best and there's nothing we can control about it so we just kind of move on and do what's best for our team to get ready for monday. having another day of practice everyone is kind of excited and we get more time to play and stuff like that so everyone is getting excited because we get to practice in the gym obviously we try to control the things we can control we've got a job to do we're going to try and do the best we can and i think the kids will come through with that and understand that we're just trying to get them prepared and we got a job to do. it's disappointing but it'll give us another three days to prepare for that cedar rapids kennedy team and i think it'll just benefit us that much more now we just get to relax and see how it goes now that we've got a couple of extra days of practice we just get to relax go through plays just make sure we have the
