first one ever done. charlie szold of the iowa g-o-p says it was an exciting first time opportunity for republicans... there was even a special announcement made at the state capitol with the governor in attendance... they were proud to announce that this caucus cycle in iowa would have both a republican and democrat brown and black forum. calendars were marked for december 3rd for the republican event. charlie 9:35 it was supposed to happen today but you know, sometimes these partnerships don't work out on the first round. there's a lot of moving parts you need to get settled down and we just had some scheduleing issues and weren't able to make this event work. joe 14:58 it's a tremendous loss to them especially when latino community wants to participate in the caucuses both democrat and republican next february 1st. joe enriquez henry from the league of united latin american citizens says latinos are very intested in hearing all candidates' views on immigration and a pathway to citizenship. joe 13:39 and also jobs, healthcare, educaiton, all those are very important so this is a tremendous loss. henry says iowa latinos will make up 10 percent of caucus goers and they're missing an opportunity to learn more about the candidates. republicans assure them, it is not a lost opportunity. charlie 10:41 no because we're going to do it. do something. we

west winds, we pushed up into the 40s for most areas today. it looks like we can do even better than that in the days to come! tonight will be clear with some patchy fog possible after midnight in some areas. temperatures will fall back below freezing so watch out for those puddles turning into little ice rinks! we can expect more sunshine for friday with warmer temperatures and light southerly winds. the metro should get into the low 50s, but areas north will be cooler and those with snow on the ground in nw iowa will be stuck in the 30s for highs it seems. the weekend will be mild, but there will be some clouds around and maybe a few light rain showers early sunday morning. saturday will be dry though with partly to mostly cloudy skies and high close to 50. sunday will be back in the mid 40s, but that is still about 10 degrees above average, so who's complaining? next week will be mild and dry as well with highs mostly in the upper 40s to lower 50s all week. the changes are likely to happen by thursday night or friday when some colder air will try to ruin our little party. it also looks like we will have a chance for rain next weekend, so that means that this weekend is a good time to get those lights up! brad/2wx: that's all for my forecast. check out weareiowa.com for

" coach knowing that there was at least this potential to meet and talk you know it's great to have lou have a little foundation of what is going on here tell me about the people you heard me say it a million times it's all about the people. we talked heavily about it when it got real before jamie, david and president lieth got to go see him, he was well aware of what the situation is here and he was all about it so it was good.
