" local 5 news at 10 in hd starts now. we are iowa" nikki/1shot: good evening. welcome to local 5 news, home of we are iowa dot com. i'm nikki davidson. glad you're with us tonight. nikki: des moines police made a violent arrest late christmas eve. police were sent to the southside liquor and tobacco outlet in des moines yesterday evening .... after an employee was stabbed in the arm. the suspect, described as a black male wearing a stocking hat and a black bandana over his mouth and nose came into the store... and demanded the money from the register. the suspect attempted to get away on foot, but was taken into custody by police. 22 year-old corderro laurence was charged with robbery and assault . after arriving at the police department, laurence was asked to change his clothes into the official jumpsuit, according to the report... he refused and threatened
