4:03 am
speaking to abc news cruz used the win as a rallyin cry saying he's the only candidate who can beat trump. >> so i hope that republicans instead make the decision let's come together, let's unite behind the only campaign that has beaten donald not once, not twice but three times across the country. >> all right, well, cruz labeled his victories in oklahoma, alaska and texas as a central turning point for his campaign. >> a couple of bright spots for marco rubio. trump in virginia after the poll polls closed, the florida senator spoke to a crude in miami criticizing donald trump. >> five days ago we began to explain to the american people that donald trump is a con artist. and in just five days, we have across the country. we are seeing in state after state his numbers coming down,

[ cheers and applause ] not just to people whoho will look one way, worship one way or even think one way. >> reporter: of course, the fact that the event was held here tonight very important.% she really hopes to be able to clinch perhaps the nomination here in florida and in just two weeks' time. kendis, reena. >> thank you so much. bernie sanders is not ready to give up. >> he pululd off a resounding victory although it was in his home state of vmont and defeated clinton in three other

>> a little earlier we spoke with our political team. >> the bottom line we have looked through republican divisions and the party is not divided. they're embracing donald trump. you see massachusetts and alabama and tennessee and arkansas and all these states regional diversity and ideological diversity inside the party and the thing is if you judge a party by its voters donald trump owns this party right now. it's just that the leaders are saying something different and they're not comfortable with it. the voters are speaking very clearly and very similarly across states. >> clinton looks absolutely unstoppable right now andnd she began this campaign as someone who was the likikely nominee. she was the presumed democratic nominee. now she's earned it. she had that scare in iowa. she took a huge hit in new hampshire. she's really come back now and tonight we really see her sailing out of super tuesday with that strong lead that really she's earned. >> and do stay with abc news for more super tuesday results. live team coverage and analysis
