pennsburg home. the search for the killer came to an end when the lawmen found the body. he decided to end his odyssey by his own hand. it tuesday night. the story is the end of the brutal ordeal that saw a total of seven people die. and now leaving stone's daughters without parents. kenneth moton is live at a vigil for the victims. first, they are outside of bradley's house in pennsburg. >>reporter:th the 32 hour manhunt over, the home has been boarded up by authorities. within the hour an unidentified man removed the u.s. marine flag getting soaked from all the rain. with it questions, with no answers an why stone carried out his horrific murder spree. >> late today the body of
bradley stone was removed from a wooded area half a mile from his home. it's not known when. he killed himself weighing into a sword. the neighbors are breathing a sigh of relief. >> they are n happy how it ended. everything is getting back to normal. >>reporter:tss w he carried out his brutal killing spree, using firearms he began in sauderton. then he drove to lower salford where we killed nicole stone. then nicole as kids yelling, mommy, monic mommy, no. i want my mom. stone apparently left no form of
communication explngis actions. it was apparent that a custody battle over the two children had something to do with it. bradley stone sought an emergency court order seeking custody of the children but denied. >> he w dissatisfied wi that. there is no excuse. there is no valid explanation. they brought a candle looking for healing and trying to move on. >> we wanted to shed some light and bring peace to the neighborhood and mb those that were lost. >>reporter:tonit the stones' two children remain in protective custody. they will decide who will normally get custody. the sauderton community is
starting fund. those that knew bradley stone are shocked that he carried out this mass murder. they describe stonas a normal helpful guy. >> the person that i knew was not like that. he was always helping, always doing things to help, the club, the members. the servicemen. he was always helping us out which never led me to think that he would do anything against the law, let alone this. >> bradley stonw a marine reservist serving from 2002 to 2011. kenneth the whole community had a rough go of it. tonight it came together. >>reporter:jim,t was an emotional servic inside of the church tonight. they are not alone as they deal with this tragedy.
