votes the day after she announces for her bid for the presidency. the lesson of staying alive. local students learn firsthand the dangers of driving. a must not is underway for a gunman at the north carolina community campus. police began going through the campus building by building looking for the gunman. police were looking for a man seen with a rifle immediately following the reports of the gunfire. students studying in the library say they heard a single gunshot and hid until police officers gave them the all clear. one student in class at the time described what happened. >> our teacher told everybody we were on lockdown it was not a drill. she told us to get up from our
seats and move to the other side of the room which was a corner away from the doors and windows. she cut the lights off barricaded the door with a table and told us to remain calm and quiet. >> that student said she remained in the classroom for 40 minutes until police gave them a clearance to leave. two other schools were put on lockdown, we'll have more on "action news" at 4:00 p.m. and 6abc.com. back here construction worker was critically hurt this morning while on the job at the king of prussia mall. the accident knocked out power in the area for a short time. annie mccormick joins us live from king of prussia with all the details. annie. >> reporter: and rick williams and sarah work continues here as normal at the king of prussia mall after three people were taken to the hospital this morning after one worker was shocked and survived at the scene and the second suffered minor injuries when they cut
into an energid cable that had 13,000 volts running through it. chopper 6 hd over the scene at 7:30. one member of the construction crew working on the expansion of the king of prussia mall. the subcontractorrer was seriously -- subcontractor was seriously injured. two others were taken to the hospital, as a precaution but appear to be uninjured. the accident happened in the court section of the mall near macy's. construction project around the mall continued this morning. a local 898-ibw union represent arrived on scene later. they released this statement reading in part, quote everyone at the mall and involved in the project are focused on the individual and hoping for a fast
recovery. chopper 6 hd over the scene at 7:30. one member of the construction scene working on the mall -- >> and back out here live we're told one of the workers cut into the energized cable that started a small fire that was contained. the third man was taken to the hospital was uninjured. he was taken as a precautionary measure. members of the kop mall say business is usual at the mall today, all stores are open. reporting live at the king of prussia mall, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." >> paula brown the managerful managerful -- manager of the coal winl delaware county -- colwyn delaware county will learn her fate this evening. brown told us today that the district attorney should get involved in the showdown with
city council. she said borough bills cannot be paid finishes fired. david henry will have a live report on the colwyn borough battle. this man was taken into custody for an alleged sex assault. he surrendered at 48th and brown in west philadelphia. around 2:00 a.m. a woman called 911 that a the man sexually assaulted her and robbed her at gunpoint. the woman met the man at a bar. a west philadelphia mother who police say abandoned her quadriplegic son is hospitalized in maryland. there's an arrest warrant out for nyia parler. she left her 21-year-old son who can not talk and who has cerebral palsy in the woods for a week. her son is being treated at children's hospital. fire officials are looking
into what sparked the blaze and damaged two homes overnight. the damage happened in the city's mount airy section. when firefighters arrived flames were pouring out of the back bedrooms of one of the homes. everyone inside was able to get out safely. in belmawr, camden county a home was damaged by a fast-moving fire on the 100 block of spruce street. a family member smelled smoke and woke everyone up. the entire family got out safely. fire officials say the blaze started in the driver. the home suffered smoke damage, the family is staying with relatives. taking a live look at the tennis courts via our temple university sky 6 cameras. this day is perfect for a game of tennis. enjoy it now there's rain in the accuweather forecast. meteorologist david murphy joins us outside in the sun with all

trip at a community college. the former first lady and secretary of state and senator made the announcement in an online video yesterday. she is running for the democratic nomination of president once again. meanwhile, marco rubio is expected to throw his hat into the ring for president later today. he won election during the tea party wave during 2010. marco rubio the son of immigrants will be joining a growing crowd of candidates. rand paul and ted cruz have declared their candidacy, as well. seniors at an area high school served as teachers they had distracted driving days to raise awareness among teenagers to alert teenagers of the

the attraction let's race car fans get behind the wheel with a professional driving instructor in the passenger seat. in indiana 20 people were hurt when a mega bus collided with a tractor-trailer. it happened on inter state 65. the bus was traveling from chicago to atlanta when it collided. no word what caused the crash. this is the 4th crash involving a mega bus in indiana since october. in florida the faa is investigating the deadly crash of a small plane there. this is video of the fiery aftermath in fort lauderdale. the faa said the pilot declared an emergency after taking off in orlando and trying to land. the twin engine plane went down in a nature preserve near the airport. all four people died. rescue crews had to fight through the heavy brush to reach the site. ntsb is investigating.
police in milwaukee say three people are dead in an incident that began as a fatal accident. a 2-year-old child ran into the street and struck by a vehicle. the 41-year-old man who was driving remained at the scene. police say someone shot the driver and a 15-year-old boy. the driver was pro pronounced at the scene. police say the teenager died during surgery. no one has been arrested. a judge is about to hand out sentencing in the atlanta public school cheatingal. they falsified tests to receive bonuses. aaron hernandez is charged with the 201 shooting death of oden lloyd.

much sun and clouds you've got. 72 degrees in allentown. not too shabby. down the shore, 61 in atlantic city. partly sunny and cooler some spots down the shore may be a couple of degrees milder the farther south you go. in philadelphia, 7 # -- 72 today. overnight tonight more clouds build in, we stay on the mild side. toward dawn there's rain arriving kind of breezy overnight. for the evening commute. no problems with rain, partly cloudy pleasant, that high today, 72 hits at 4:00 p.m. 70 by 5:30. by 7:00 p.m. when the sun is getting ready to pitch toward the horizon it will be cooler, 65. even then it's comfortable. tomorrow a damp start as the front comes through. the question is how slow the front goes and whether or not well have a damp afternoon, as
well. the morning will start out wet in parts of the region. i'll roll this from 5:30 to 9:00. i think the rain may be farther south than the model appears. during the morning commute there's the chance of rain arriving. we go to 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon. this is where the models are not agreeing. some of them like this one wants to be fairly wet by 2:00 p.m. and it may take until the afternoon for the rain to clear philadelphia and get off the shore. there are other models that show that well dry out by 2:00, 3:00 p.m. looks like the rain could be failure stealed we're going for a half inch to an inch. heavier cells possible obviously not a lot of agreement in the amount of rain with the models which is often the case and the timing in question. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, tomorrow 67 we'll have the showers moving through in the morning. they may linger into the afternoon. we're hoping for late day
